Big news from Finnish publication forum. Almost all MDPI and Frontiers journals will be downgraded to level 0 and thus are not considered as properly peer reviewed trustworthy scientific journals.

Yeah, I know the security feeling, unfortunately. Since my keys were stolen we had to be extra worried for the day or two until we were able to change the locks. Sounds like you did the right thing to report it, but it seems that some of these thieves are quite experience and good at disappearing 😕

Well I didn't mean to make is a competition, but yeah, it was not great :). I was mostly just surprised someone would come in to steal things when I was clearly in the next room. I hope you didn't lose too much on the laptop.

Oddly, I had a similar experience a few summers ago. Left our back door propped open and someone came in while I was washing dishes in the kitchen and stole my 2 laptops, phone, keys, wallet, and headphones. I saw nothing happen, but a neighbor alerted me.
