It’s the weekend after Thanksgiving, so as tradition dictates I’m hanging Christmas lights on the house. Already did the yard work & have a pot of Hatch chili verde simmering.

Told MIL about interview & now she’s super excited since we’d be in driving distance (getting reports from daughter who is at 🦃 w/ her).

Mom found out about prior interview from sis (can’t keep a secret) & is mad I’d consider leaving.

So however this works out there going to be an upset mother. 🤪

It’s Thanksgiving in SoCal, so of course yesterday was the first day in weeks we had to turn the A/C on.

There’s a reason I always wear shorts & an aloha shirt to eat turkey. 🦃

Ahh, I see we’ve reached the “let’s schedule you to come for in-person interviews with everyone” phase with intimidating job.

And during the same period we’re traveling for daughter’s graduation? Sure, why not? 🤪

Old newsgroup thing about how making a rule against wearing orange socks is an easy way to be defiant & earn a spanking. We’ve always observed the tradition. 😉

I grew up here & have lived here all but 8 years. I prefer a cooler environment in general…easier (and more socially acceptable) to add layers if it’s cool than the opposite if it’s hot. 😆

Sounds more fun than most OSHA visits I’ve been involved with. 🤭

Can I also say that I’m very glad it’s now sweater weather here in SoCal.

I have far more sweaters than I should because I constantly live in hope of being able to wear them. And I’m on my second one this week!
