The prediction tool was developed with the data from 4000 people in multinational and multiracial cohorts and can be generalized to all.
Do you routinely use prediction tools with IgAN patients? #NephJC

Treatment in children: πŸ‘ΆπŸ’‰
Management is based on RAS blockade, salt restriction, and blood pressure control. Glucocorticoids are used in those with persistent proteinuria or high-risk features, sometimes combined with cyclophosphamide in severe cases.

Everything said and done - although eGFR diff may signal ominous outcomes - practically speaking following one eGFR over time and seeing the eGFR fall predicts outcomes better than anything else ! And that’s what would be feasible across economies ! #NephJC

I do the same with any agent. Treat for 2 years then try off. If relapse, then another 2 years. #NephJc I don’t think there’s great data. Just seems a good balance of risk.

Love the science behind anti-nephrin Ab but
35% AA have one risk allele for APOL-1 & 14% have 2 risk alleles!

Those r huge number of people predisposed to AMKD!
