Why is autism really on the rise? What the science says As Trump blames Tylenol, Nature looks into the decades of research on the causes of autism.

Excellent: Why is autism really on the rise? What the science says www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Reality, increase largely driven by:
- Broader diagnostic criteria
- Increased awareness & detection

Autism causes complex, but it ain't vaccines or Tylenol.

Couldn't agree more. A bold, timely move would pay huge future dividends for health, biotech and a clean economy. Such an amazing window of opportunity for Canada while US politics has led to their exit from scientific stage. The question is whether we will be bold enough and seize the opportunity

Corey Booker is such an inspiration of what John Lewis said about getting into to "good trouble". Follow that lead: INTERVENE. Don't let students get grabbed off the streets or watch your colleagues get pushed out of their offices...non-violently INTERVENE and cause some good trouble...take a risk.

Corey Booker is such an inspiration and model of John Lewis' "good trouble". In every overstep you see by the government, take his lead...INTERVENE. Do not passively watch when they attack a colleague, grab a student off campus, etc. Speak up and non-violently INTERVENE....proudly take a risk.

A scientist's insight: Every lab is like a small company. If you cut funding, even for a month, trained staff and resources are lost, move on and it takes years to rebuild. How long do you think a company could survive with a month long cut? Conclusion? The US just lost 1000s of small startups!!!

RFK Jr. forces out Peter Marks, FDA’s top vaccine scientist Marks, an architect of Operation Warp Speed, warned that a recent measles outbreak shows how confidence in science and public health is being β€œundermined.”

As a 40 year researcher/immunologist I can tell you RFK's rhetoric has been devastating. When trying to communicate vaccine safety to the public, I can't tell you how many times people quote him as providing the clear evidence (with the "scientific references"), to prove vaccines aren't safe.

Yup! Devastating approach: first, limit resources and force a jewel of health care delivery to work under conditions that undermines quality of care, then point the finger and say, "look at that horrible service", then use that as an excuse to grab control and privatize. Oldest trick in the book.
