We have been having lots of chats around Chinese new year. 🧧 our children are eager to try new foods and have been loving Chinese noodles, spring rolls, prawn crackers. We have been engaging in lots of chats about Chinese new year. Ask us at home what we know😀

We are focusing on phonological awareness through our play experiences to adapt a universal approach for all our children 😀. Today we used the Bee Bots (technology) to learn the basics of coding, sequence and direction. We found matching words on our journey. Great awareness of rhyme 😀!!

Our story of the month is
“Goldilocks and the three bears”
We are going to embed this story into children’s play and learning experiences. Repetition of story books is really important for early language and communication skills. Keep an eye out for some experiences to try at home related to this😀

We have chosen this as part of health week. We have been talking lots about our emotions and feelings. 😃😢😡😬

Our children are loving their weekly visits to the school gym hall. This week they were developing their movement skills using the large equipment. The children's confidence has grown so much, we are very proud of you all ❤️

P loves exploring water and we are finding lots of different ways to explore water using different resources. Filling, pouring, adding colours and most of all splashing 💦 😍

Lovely unhurried walks exploring nature, our local community and even the park. The smiles on our faces say it all. We had the best time 😍 keep an eye out as we are going to litter pick this week; we noticed a lot of litter around the park and want to help clean up our community.

Exploring different ways to mark make outdoors 😃 using paintbrushes and water the children loved being challenged in their play and learning and are loving forming letters and numbers using different resources! very well done😃😃

Such a busy area the last couple of days. Our children have shown amazing creativity, imagination through block play. With added provocations of Kapla children reacted positively to challenge and created some of the most amazing models!!! Wow 🤩

Today, a small group explored fire building in the fairy garden today. They all showed excellent listening skills as we recapped the fire safety rules before starting. The children thoroughly enjoyed watching the fire develop, engaging in conversations. “ it’s getting warm” “it’s going black” 🔥

We are very lucky at Antonine to have the opportunity to explore our fairy garden. The children loved going on a bear hunt, swinging from trees and having snack together in the woods. We are looking forward to our next adventure. 💛

Some of the children had lots of fun in the gym hall this morning. The children showed super listening skills taking part in ring games. They were developing their movement skills. The children were super stars developing confidence with their ball skills. We are very proud of you all. ❤️
