A nice pair of Buffets there! I’m currently playing a Yamaha YCL 650, but it’s on loan and I’m going to have to buy my own in the next few months.

Mine aren’t organised properly (a job on the list) so this is only some of them. Hiding sets include DG Bernstein, Perahia and Brendel amongst others.

Fauré on Friday! Disc 11 of the recently released Complete Works box. This disc includes an exquisite recording of Pelléas et Mélisande, and two lovely tenor solos by Nicolai Gedda in Masques et Bergamasques. Fauré is all too frequently underrated. #classicalmusic #frenchmusic #nowplaying

No, they’re a similar age, and slightly different spelling. Danny was in Pentangle and has history with all sorts of people including John Martin.

I’ve seen him live twice too - once fully acoustic with Danny Thomson, and the second time with the Electric trio. I love most things he’s been part of, but I’m not so keen on his latest album. I certainly don’t think it’s as strong as 13 Rivers.

Although different colours, the Bluesky logo does make me think of the Chrysalis label on so many records I grew up with, shown here on my copy of folk-rock classic, ‘Parcel of Rogues’.

Love this one. I read it because it’s a favourite of one of my favourite musicians, John Lees (Barclay James Harvest), and I enjoyed every bit of it.
