Larger countries have also Russian assets. France has 18 billions of frozen assets. But they refuse to seize them but force a weaker state like Belgium to do it. Dewever just defendend the Belgian interest, I don't think this is pro Russian

First it could greatly backfire on EU as other countries could remove their assets from Europe. Secondly, Belgium has an investment treaty with USSR from 80's and this can force Belgium to repay everything back to Russia. In that case Belgium would be fully bankrupted.
