Super excited to play all 3 of my stream decks this Wednesday, and am a little sad that one will be banned (due to Trilogy rules). I’ve built a deck that can theoretically get a unit with infinite power, a deck that plays Stolen Starpath Unit (SEC), and of course, a Master Codebreaker (LAW) deck.

I wonder how much of it is fans being uncomfortable with commander decisions being made directly by wizards where it’s historically been run by fans afaik.

Really cool article about something I’ve been speculating on for a while. Governments avoid recessions at all costs- but those costs are catching up to us. Recessions, like forest fires, could potentially even be positive in the long run!

Card selection is underrated! Jyn’s search is powerful, especially since she wants to play a lot of low cost units that normally gum up future card draws. In testing, I’d track how often I picked the top card of my deck when searching 3, and was surprised by just how impactful it could be.

Another way we hammered home the gambling theme is by making him defeat a credit to create 3 credits (rather than create 2 credits if you control a credit). Effectively the same thing, but it feels more like gambling!

I’ve been enjoying draft but I do find that all-in typal strategies seem to dominate. It feels relatively difficult to multicolor and I think you’re supposed to be 2 color and rely on hybrid to trigger vivid, but as a consequence you get funneled really hard into the typal of your 2 colors.

This card is pretty sweet!

My favorite card got revealed today on Bothan Network! I’ve developed a reputation internally at FFG for playing this card a lot. I’m glad I can finally talk about it- I snuck a reference to him in our end of year article.

I love defeating my own units!

Further balancing these decks against each-other was one of my first tasks at FFG. The Leia deck is straightforward and powerful, but I’m a big fan of the tricky play-style of the Jabba deck!

I really like how it helps previous mechanics like disclose or previous cards like Sabine’s Masterpiece!
