This video of a pregnant Black woman in labor being actively ignored by a triage nurse has made the rounds. The lack of empathy on display is a reality every Black woman has experienced in some form when dealing w the healthcare system. Nothing shields us from it.

We had not for profit healthcare until 1973 when Nixon and the GOP cancelled it. This ushered in an age of increased costs, reduced access, and worsening outcomes. Do your grandchildren know, because of the GOP, we lost our rights not to be exploited in our healthcare?

Tonight, was another reminder: there is no single mold for a Democratic winner.

Progressives won. Moderates won. Rural, suburban, urban —they all won. Black, White, Latino, AAPI — they all won. We won in the East, South, Midwest and West. Victories in races from City Council to Governor.

Fellow whites, we can't deny this data. We like to demand facts and figures, well here is is, in red, white, and blue. These elections were won in spite of us, not because of us. None of us get to claim these victories.

Sadly hard to find local election results, but I was able to see who won the mayoral race in Buffalo 🤷🏻‍♀️

Young people in NYC absolutely showed out and there should be 1000 articles and profiles about this. Because we have had to put up with 1000 MAGA diner stories for years now.

Out of the 37 doors my husband and I canvassed on Sunday, 19 doors votes— some with multiple voters. It’s worth the effort to get out the vote even in a local election. #bluetsunami

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

I feel like the folks who think AI is so great have either never been stuck in an automated customer service phone queue or have temporarily forgotten how frustrating & annoying they are.
