Get out the vote in 2026 and primary those who capitulate on the erosion of important programs and protections. #fightback

81 years ago, FDR proposed a second Bill of Rights to guarantee every American the right to employment, healthcare, education, housing, and a living income. His words are as relevant now as they were then. Watch.

We had not for profit healthcare until 1973 when Nixon and the GOP cancelled it. This ushered in an age of increased costs, reduced access, and worsening outcomes. Do your grandchildren know, because of the GOP, we lost our rights not to be exploited in our healthcare?

Heads upโ€” NYโ€™s Town of Huntington Republicans infiltrated the Working Families Party and ran a woman who didnโ€™t even know she was on the ballot. She pulled 1k votes from the dem Cooper Macco, who lost by half that. When you canโ€™t win on ideas, you pull shenanigans. Pay attention for midterms.

Tonight, was another reminder: there is no single mold for a Democratic winner.

Progressives won. Moderates won. Rural, suburban, urban โ€”they all won. Black, White, Latino, AAPI โ€” they all won. We won in the East, South, Midwest and West. Victories in races from City Council to Governor.

Fellow whites, we can't deny this data. We like to demand facts and figures, well here is is, in red, white, and blue. These elections were won in spite of us, not because of us. None of us get to claim these victories.

Love Obama, but Dem pols need to make clear to the base that there will be no forgiving and forgetting like 08. We need to know that this admin will be held accountable & the days of appointing the likes of Merrick Garland are over.

Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.

The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.

They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

Wanna fix fraud and abuse?

Fix that.

And in the post civil rights, womenโ€™s liberation, watergate era, he stoked anti-urban, anti-disco white male grievances where equality was a loss and boys will be boys. 3/

Then he blamed โ€˜big governmentโ€™ to make people suspicious of government workers, which is a stepping stone career from blue collar to white collar. My father was part of the FAA during the strike, which set the tone for attitudes about unions and government workers to this day. 2/

Regan set the stage for white male grievance to pit working class people against each other. We are in end-stage capitalism due to his union busting, misogyny, homophobia, offshoring, racism, and trickle down economics. 1/

As of yesterday, Oregonians are paying more for their health insurance and SNAP benefits aren't going out.

Thatโ€™s not what putting the American people first looks like. Iโ€™m calling on my Republican colleagues to come to the table and get a deal done to end this shutdown.

I feel like the folks who think AI is so great have either never been stuck in an automated customer service phone queue or have temporarily forgotten how frustrating & annoying they are.

I doubt AI will ever be able to successfully replace actual expertsโ€”in any field.
