The Hidden Trauma of Jury Duty
Iβm glad Liz Krieger recognized this and wrote about it. Missing our family trip to Mexico because I had to sit on a manslaughter trial was the least of my issues (this was in 2008. Iβm ok now). Gift article.

Hard to believe! In a similar vein, my high school class just had their 45th reunion (I didnβt go, but Iβll go to the 50th). It seems impossible, yes?

Thank you. That was helpful in curbing my anger at the volume of texts I receive from politicians. Actually, the anger is still there. I just have a better understanding π

Does incense go bad? Because I burned some piΓ±on incense yesterday, which I used to love. But the house just smells like smoke now. When Iβm in the house I get a headache and a dry cough. The incense is at least three years old, probably older. Thoughts?

I'm thinking this might be location-dependent? Obviously, we get a lot of tornado news here, including news from other states.

Yes! The app that shows me photos from years past is messed up! It was definitely 2019. Thank you! Iβm going to see if I can update the metadata, but I donβt have high hopes.

I picked up Travisβ ashes on Tuesday, and Iβm still really sad. On the flip side, we sent all our rugs out to be professionally cleaned, and we got them back today. The house still feels painfully empty, but at least it doesnβt echo anymore.

Tim told me about this on Monday. I never met Della, but Tim was pretty broken up. He knew her before he knew Ryan. Absolutely tragic and should have never happened. I canβt imagine Ryanβs pain and their kidsβ pain.

Bear!! is an adoptable Dog - Collie & German Shepherd Dog Mix searching for a forever family near Celina, OH. Use Petfinder to find adoptable pets in your area.
Much to my surprise, Travis' original adoption page from 2013 is still published. As you can see, I changed his name from Bear to Travis:

Every single staff member at the vetβs office was amazing, and *everyone* came into the room to say goodbye to him. He was so very loved, and so many people cared about him. Most of all, me.

Travis, a large dog with long brown hair, white paws, and a white chest, is sitting on the sand on a long stretch of beach. He is staring out at the ocean very contemplatively.

I also know I gave him a great life, and I truly will only have good and happy memories. He never did anything wrong, except the first week he came to live with me. And those wrongs are hilarious now. But all of this doesnβt make it easier.
