Alas, Babylon by Pat Frank is a lovely book about SHTF-nuclear edition. Easy to read and aged decently considering it was written in 1959.

Up next: Upton Sinclair's The Jungle. About meat packing, wage slavery, and socialism. And eventually led to the creation of the FDA and major updates within the USDA. Feels timely.

Finished reading Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood. I didn't think it was amazing writing, but the story is worthwhile. Kinda sci-fi, internal viewpoint vs the base, external view of Parable.

TIL that Google Assistant is by default "learning" from all the apps on your phone. Instructions to disable it in the link. You have to do it for each individual app, and after you do it it takes you back to the top of the list of apps. Classic dark pattern programming.

I'm tired of liberals thinking magas are going to regret their choices. They don't care if they suffer as long as liberals (and anyone else they don't like) suffers too.

We're in the shock & awe phase. It's designed to overwhelm and make you tune out. For me, checking once a day, when I know I have processing time after, it sufficient. And don't talk to me about anything after 7pm.

Maybe goths have the advantage. We're all doom and gloom anyway....

2) I've seen a lot of pro-DEI companies that still should be avoided. Using GoodsUniteUs is useful to see how a company has donated politically. And always check the parent company.

Add -AI to your search to get rid of AI responses.
