I think we've crossed the line and are now a fascist state.
Full stop, that's if, we're there

No simple description could encapsulate the awesomeness that is me! Most people know me from my career in computer security. Blogging, podcasting, and writing the Akamai State of the Internet Security Report. Don't ask how I'm doing. Life isn't pretty.
I think we've crossed the line and are now a fascist state.

We have never been closer to the dream of the Puritans when they came to America than we are now.

"You fired my client for single anti-fascist message, while you allowed hundreds of other messages calling for extreme actions against the Left. Explain."

Mechanical steampunk Mantis crawling down the wall.
Look at the guns on this guy! Seriously, it's a Steampunk battle beetle with a main cannon and rear guns
More pictures of the Exchange Club. The level of detail in every sculpture is amazing.
This is a casino being built in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere. I want to go back when it's complete.
The glories of random finds during travel:

* The politics of having an international conference in the US right now is fraught with peril; there are no good answers.
Made it to Flagstaff this afternoon as my journey to the West continues. The hotel has a forest path, so maybe I'll get a good look at the sky tonight.
I should arrive at my destination Tuesday afternoon. Tonight I'll just be glad to not be behind the wheel.
I went into Santa Fe looking for older DnD and Pathfinder books. I struck out on that front, but met a lot of interesting people along the way.
On the other hand, I found a complete set of '73 printing of The Hobbit & The Lord of the Rings in fair condition. Childhood nostalgia unlocked!
I'm on my second Orlando to West Coast cross-country trip in a month. This trip I'm headed for Petaluma, CA, to care for my father. He has stage 2 pancreatic cancer and needs live-in help.
I'm using this drive to relax, see friends, and wander a little.
Real life can wait while I adjust to life.
I finally made it to BS.
Time to reengage with friends and community.
