The reality is that banking institutions globally would face immediate insolvency, which explains the current hesitation. Whilst nations are clearly hedging their positions, it remains a precarious strategy; should the Federal Reserve falter, the global economy will suffer profoundly.

Think of it this way: If the world were to 'dump' their US treasuries, those who are already suffering (in the US) will be beyond devastation. Trump&Co have filled their pockets, they will not be affected, & quite frankly, do not care about those less fortunate. 'Let them eat cake'
