I made the same decision and I actually look forward to it. With everyone out already, no meetings, which I’ll treat that as my first Christmas present. I intend to take that opportunity for a full day focused on preparing all of the really important comms and meetings I need to run in the new year.

For the very first time in years I’ve decided to prioritize my well being over my sense of obligation to others. It was heart wrenching and I still haven’t fully come to terms with it, but I’m still proud of myself.

I know.. On the other hand, if I waited for France to be riot/strike free before visiting, I would see my family once every decade 😝
