I guess you assume no one in your audience needs to actually GO to a food bank.

I guess you can’t post a link to resources for families dealing with DOGE, firings, benefits, you name it.

I didn’t post hate speech. I didn’t post porn. I didn’t post profanity. I didn’t post spam. I didn’t post a personal attack. I criticized Tim and Catherine for being smug, ignorant and blind to the scorching inferno that families and esp Moms are facing re: these benefits being cut.

And instead of taking the feedback, which is NOT easy to give to people I admire, promote, PAY to listen to, and wish I could work for in some ways, you get me thrown off Reddit.

I had such high hopes for Catherine. But wow, “I have no idea” is her answer to whether or not SNAP recipients know what is about to happen.

They do. Believe me they do. The entire system that supports working class families is too busy living in emergency mode to chime in on your commentary.

Parents are the largest stronghold in m*ga.

You know this.

Yet it is NEVER investigated as deeply as say immigration, abortion, tariffs or legal matters.

We are parenting through a total effing nightmare.

And no one is covering it beyond high brow “economic” talk.

None of you, not one of you, have ever interviewed a working class mom to discuss working class mom issues.

I will have more to say on this, but l listened to Catherine’s first hit on Bulwark with Tim and it was the first time I considered unsubscribing it was so awful.

To clarify: I am probably one of the biggest Bulwark fans there is, I promote it, I share their clips, I’ve recruited fam as listeners, I am a paid subscriber.

But I reserve the right to criticize them when they are wrong. And they were deeply wrong, uninformed and sloppy on this topic.

I left comments itemizing how utterly rude, ignorant and callous their convo was.

Because it was.

It was the single most arrogant and biased convo I’ve ever heard on The Bulwark.

My post on Reddit was deleted, I was reprimanded by the Mod and account was banned from the platform for 6 days.

Throughout their brief, largely insubstantial conversation, they mentioned how most SNAP recipients don’t know what’s going on, don’t read the news, and don’t grasp what is happening bc theyre not as plugged in, educated or theyre busy doing life.

I can assure you that this is so insanely untrue.

In my post I pleased with @thebulwark.com to hire someone who actually understands where many families are, hire a mom, hire a lower income person, anything.

Catherine and Tim discussed SNAP. Tim tried to frame the consequences well, but ultimately both of them mocked ppl for “not understanding.”

I posted this bc they talk to everyone on their show. Except middle and working class moms.

They talk a lot “about” us but they don’t talk TO us.

This clip generated a dozen or so comments, many from other moms saying how relatable it was.

My point in posting was to get us in the convo.

Yesterday I posted a clip of moms discussing losing their SNAP benefits to @thebulwark.com.

I asked where Catherine Rampell was bc all I’ve heard is men on their channel talking ABT moms losing SNAP.

It coincidently coincided with Catherine Rampell’s first time on with @timmiller.bsky.social .
