While we’re at it, the ableist comments regarding Abbott aren’t overlooked. He’s a shitstain of a human, but using that as a reason to make ableist comments shows you’re ok with demeaning language as long as it’s someone you don’t like and actively negates your stance of being progressive

I have to say, I’m incredibly disappointed in the political comments I’ve seen regarding Texas. The disregard for those of us that are actively fighting for change. The gov is fucked, but there’s people here that don’t support it but are victim to the policies and lack the privilege to leave

It’s a blast! They do have an association in Canada, the Canadian Rockies Gay Rodeo Association, however they canceled their rodeo last year due to lack of interest- I’m unsure of their future plans atm

Can’t wait for rodeo season to get going, I may be biased but A Texas Tradition Rodeo in Denton is the best rodeo. It was my first experience with gay rodeos and it has a soft spot in my heart

Ofc! You should check them out sometime, the parent association is the International Gay Rodeo Association and they’re so damn cool. They have associations and events across the country. Only place you’ll ever see a drag queen riding a steer😂

That’s the best feeling! One of my mares decided she wants to be English so she’s been learning to jump as well. I haven’t jumped in a decade😅 keep it up, and you should be proud of yourselves, 2’3 is a huge achievement

Yes!! My friend runs the Illinois Gay Rodeo Association and you should check it out. They’re on Facebook! Currently they don’t have any rodeos coming up but they do hold events regularly
