Did you see the big sting operation they did the other day? It was insane.

We live like a mile from an Amazon distribution center and like 15 miles for a major Amazon hub. Tell me why I can order something today (a Tuesday) and it won’t be here until Saturday. 2 day shipping my ass. You cannot tell me it’s going to take you 2 days to process my order with Amazon….

I want to be the fun cool Pinterest elf on the shelf mom but the thought of having to figure that out each night after engineering for 9+ hours seems like more torture than I could handle.

The best party of weeks where a paid holiday is on a Friday is that’s usually my half day so I get to work 4 hours less during the week. Plus field work tomorrow means I get to log off at a normal time today and very early on Wednesday.

Taking my broken foot to the field tomorrow which is usually our venting day for my coworker and I. Except this time we have to take our new hire (who we would otherwise definitely be venting about.) 😭😭

Also, like does that mean then I don’t need to send a card to anyone in your family bc why do they need 2 cards with us on it? So now each person will get a card from the grandparents and one from each of the 3 kids. So 2 pictures of each set of kids/grandkids. It’s seems very unnecessary.

I can’t stand grandparents sending out Christmas cards of their grandchildren or like their family/grandchildren. I feel like once your kids are old enough that they have their own family you shouldn’t be sending one out of them.

There’s so many around here but they all suck! We thankfully have a decent ramen place 20 minutes away. It’s not NYC good but can satisfy the craving.

Our really good Vietnamese place has sky rocketed in price though and their milk teas are like $8 for a mason jar that’s 5/6 ice.

This is one of the things I miss about NYC. I have never found a decent place down here.

We had a new nanny all lined up and then she decided it was too many hours and I just feel so defeated in this search.

So excited to do our first true big girl day this weekend. Taking her to see her first performance, a spa day painting her nails for the first time, and then to afternoon tea.

Mine was running a pill mill (prescribing adderall etc and telling people how to fill out the forms so he “could”), sexual assault, professional misconduct, and something else.

Also, misprespcribing medications with the intent of getting people drugged before their appts.

We have this issue! My daughter sees a few specialists but they’re all through the hospital system (bc you literally can’t find a good one not affiliated.) The drs are great but $800 for a specialist appt with insurance is insane. It’s the only thing I miss about NY.

30 is approaching WAYYYY too quickly and this was in no way how I thought it’d look.

For one I thought I’d be 2-3 kids deep by now. Not only at 1. Thought I’d have my PE and now I don’t want it at all.

The most aggravating thing about open enrollment is 1) not getting any information until like a week before 2) when you and your spouse have open enroopen enrollments 4 months apart. Like what am I supposed to do with that?

I watched a video and the guy was saying how his sister was coming to watch his kids while his wife and him went away for a weekend. The concept just blows my mind that people have nice families like that bc my aunts/uncles never watched us even for an hour and our siblings would never either.

It’s officially sub-80 (like a month earlier than normal) and I’m not feeling ✨inspired✨by any of our regular go to soups.

I need something better than my dry erase calendar but I don’t want to splurge on a skylight yet since she’s not in sports that have games. But I need something hanging on my wall in addition to my phone. But our plans change so much that paper seems like it’ll be a mess.

A ton of girls in (private) HS flipped their septum up during school. I have my nostril though and absolutely love it. Most people don’t even realize I have it so it’s never an issue for work.

They started the refund program as soon as we stopped commuting into the city. 🤪
