God, I'd completely forgotten about the blatant transphobia which happens mid-season on Veronica Mars Year Two. Beaver and Mac hire a transgender escort as part of a mean-spirited prank on Dick and it's supposed to be the comedy ending of the episode. 20 years is a long time in TV.
