So, 19 Minutes by Jodi Picoult is officially the most banned book of 2024, and I’m over here like, “Congrats, girl, but also WHY?” It’s a deeply human story about empathy, consequences, and how we treat each other—basically everything we need to talk about but apparently can’t handle.

2024 is shaping up to be the year irony came alive, folks. We’re banning books about oppression while claiming we’re oppressed by books. Just finished The Handmaid’s Tale—a dystopian classic that feels less like fiction and more like an early draft of someone’s campaign speech.

Thanksgiving: America’s most successful rebrand. If The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian were required reading, maybe we’d trade the turkey for some honesty. Pass the land back with the gravy, please.
