Can you explain how this bill “helps Wall Street fleece the working class”?
Neither of your links say anything remotely similar (and in fact don’t criticize the bill’s intent). So, what exactly is your issue with the bill?

REPORTER: Should Israel be doing more to allow food in Gaza?
TRUMP: Say it?
R: Should Israel be doing more to allow food?
T: What is she saying?
SOMEONE: Should Israel be doing more to allow food in Gaza?
T: You really at least want to have somebody say thank you. We gave $60m for food for Gaza
It’s absolutely asinine they refuse to make this available after so many years of intense demand & it’s far from the only example that would radically improve the ability of users to better serve their customers & analyze their own data. They don’t want to make the product better. They want more $$.
24.07.2025 22:21 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0One single example: the ability to print the Class field on an invoice. You can input it on the invoice but there is no way to print it for the customer and accountants and users have been asking for that for I’m guessing 10+ years according to thousands of Google search results.
24.07.2025 21:12 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Same, same. He has no idea what I’ve prepared or for that matter how many bank & investment accounts we have. 🤣
24.07.2025 17:52 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0It’s fake justification for their incessant fee increases. “Look at all the new things we’ve given you & how often we ‘update’ functionality & the user interface!”
It’s not helpful, most of their improvements suck and they refuse to fix things their accountant users have been begging for for years.
Someone learning art history, archaeology, journalism or marketing won’t help a single person in my community but those courses have major value elsewhere in the US/world & I support them because I’m not a bigoted narcissist who thinks my opinions are the most important indicator of value. 🤷🏻♀️🖕🏻
15.07.2025 23:10 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Someone learning a foreign language won’t help a single person in MY community but those courses have major value. Should we stop teaching other languages because I don’t benefit?
My community is extremely small but the ppl that live here (and those who visit) believe in all sorts of education.
Oh, okay. So a course taught by a Black woman about race that you’ve not experienced yourself is automatically presumed to ”blame whitey” as its syllabus and because it won’t help YOUR community (in your opinion), it has no value whatsoever in a capitalist society. Did I understand you correctly?
🙄
Who is this “whole generation” that can’t read at grade level? What kind of dystopian fantasy are you living in?
Also, education is most effective when it reaches people where they are & how they learn. One size fits all w/education is how we got here—where ppl can’t distinguish fact from fiction.
They haven’t paid themselves in 2025 but haven’t filed 2024 income taxes, yet.
Would you prepare 2024 deducting the “wages” even though they shouldn’t be and just consider the withholding & FICA to offset the SE tax even though they don’t exactly equal out?
They paid themselves on payroll as an employee but as a disregarded SMLLC—not an S Corp—they can’t be an employee.
So they need to amend payroll returns to get withholding/FICA back & income tax returns to report higher profit on non-deductible “wages” they paid themselves.
#TaxBS Would you ever agree to fix one year of payroll tax returns for a SMLLC owner that put themself on payroll but not fix earlier years at the request of the client (basically as a cost control issue on their part)?
Not sure I should agree and amend one year when three are actually required.
Oh, sweetie. Did someone hurt your fee-fees?
Are you threatened by diversity? Does a focus on the history, culture and accomplishments of other races or ethnicities somehow cause you harm or is it just discomfort with the concept that other races exist in this country and deserve to be studied?
If kindness is so incredibly important (& I agree it is), do you think it’s logical to align yourself with someone who is openly cruel for sport? Who jokes about the Holocaust? Who demeans much more often than he uplifts? Who thinks breeding kids is more important than actually be present with them?

What about when the richest man in the world doesn’t like what it says so he manipulates it. Is that still good for humanity?
Client: Can you amend my return?
Me: Yes, fee is (range) depending on what you need to change, how many forms are involved, etc.
Client: Oh, I just need to show $75k in income. I don’t really care what you change.
Me: Uh…no. This sounds like mortgage fraud.
Client: Yeah, so what?

Just screamed about this to my husband. James Lankford was instrumental in creating that bill, spoke eloquently on TV about compromise and worked in a bipartisan fashion to rally support for it.
And here he is claiming that reading a statute to a person is due process.
GTFOH…
@kevinmkruse.bsky.social And James Carville, David Axelrod, etc.
We can’t keep depending on the advice from old school strategists and politicians that refuse to accept the arena is completely different and messaging and strategy must be as well.
Those stories typically aren’t paywalled & are available on many other sites or from different reporters so the info is accessible for free.
In this case (and for most journalists’ newsletters/Substacks), what they’re asking for is payment for their unique analysis—not gatekeeping essential info.
100% agree that journalism costs money & journalists deserve to be paid.
My only annoyance is being asked to register to read a free article, complying w/the request & then being told “sorry, this article is only available for paid subs”. Feels like a bait & switch.
Just say, “this isn’t free”.
Yep, he’s a freaking moron who uses fake numbers all the time (like bringing back $5 TRILLION) in investments from the Middle East in four days) but people excuse his stupidity/inaccuracy even though the rest of his statements are unhinged and ridiculous even without misstated numbers. 🤬

Of course, it looks like several people decided the most important part of that interview was the lie about 200 deals.
Do I owe Mr. Chafetz an apology, now, because other people are just as superficial? 🙄
