Final song from my AFF set, “The Starter”
This is one of the more comedy forward songs from my upcoming album. It’s about sabotaging a good relationship because you’re afraid of being hurt first.

My second song from AFF set! “You”
This one is about friendships with people who are very far away.

Forgot to actually share these!
(Most of) First song from my AFF set, “Little Blue”
This song is my favorite I’ve ever written, and the titular song off my upcoming album. It’s about loss, and so much love. For my sweet parakeet Gwydion.

Caught the folk fest bug so I’ve been in bed with an audiobook for most of the week, but I did some sketches!!

Oh no I’m writing more songs
P.S. Folk Fest in 4 days! Watch me perform on April 7th at 7pm!
I bought my first microphone today. I’m a beginner, so it’s nothing crazy. But I’m really happy to be taking more steps towards sharing music. I’ve been recording everything on my phone for so long!
10.03.2025 04:37 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Really excited to share that I’ll be performing at Alaska Folk Festival in Juneau on April 7, at 7pm.
This is the AFF’s 50th anniversary, and I’ve grown up attending, so getting to participate is so special. This will also be the first time I get to share some of these songs, and I’m thrilled!
Two years ago today I did the solo winter hike that inspired the 11th song on my album, Winter's Hymn.
I hiked several miles on the groomed ski trail on Mendenhall Lake, in the middle of the night. It was freezing, and beautiful, and if I believed in any greater power it would just be this.
Even when we’re just mapping out the general sound, some of these songs have really come to life with her accompaniment. I didn’t know it was possible to fall more in love with these songs!
23.02.2025 06:57 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Thankfully my mom is providing the cello and, in addition to her 30+ years of experience, she really speaks the same language as me when it comes to music. I’ll sit down with her and poorly explain how I want the cello to swell, or waver, or sigh. And she just gets it.
23.02.2025 06:57 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Next step is finalizing all of the cello arrangements. Which is hard! I have lots of ideas of what I want the cello to do in my songs, but because I don’t play the cello, it’s hard to explain what I actually want it to sound like.
23.02.2025 06:57 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0An update! I’ve finally gotten all of my lyrics and chords for my album written down in one place (rather than being scattered through Notes, Google Docs, notebooks, napkins, etc) and I’m doing final edits.

Perfect being the enemy of the good, and all that, I guess. But I’m trying to get over that. There is so much to process right now, and music has always been a place for me to do that. I cannot prevent myself from finding a way to heal just because it might not be a number one hit.
So, here’s this
and tugging, and sticking around even when I write about death a whole lot.
Despite being a writer, and finding most of my emotional solace in writing and creating music, I think I also have that “if its not the best song you’ve ever written there’s no reason to write it” recurring thought.
After suffering two of the biggest losses of my life in the last five years, the fear that every single person I love is the next to go has been following me around. I’ve want to process that in music, or try to.
I’ve been writing a lot about loss and grief itself. But this fear has been nagging,
A song I wrote is on this ep by young Justin Orok and the whole little album is 🤩🤩🤩 Listen to it! It will make you feel happy/sad, and a little better about things for a while.

I’ve been working on this album for 2 years and I think I finally have all the songs finished!
That’s if I don’t write any new songs and add them before I release the album in September, which I probably will, someone stop me.
Hi everyone!
I’ve been making music my whole life, but I’ll be sharing an album September 2025. I’m really excited about that!
I will use this account for posting updates, sharing snippets of songs + writings, and posting my digital art
