Individuals working on web accessibility can only do so much on their own, so get accessibility on the radar of organization managers. Leadership should demonstrate and enforce a commitment to accessibility, as it should be a team responsibility, rather than just yours alone.

For the interests of Canadians with disabilities to be namelessly subsumed under a broader ministerial mandate demonstrates an astonishing lack of commitment to a diverse and inclusive Canada, clearly flagging accessibility as non-priority for the federal government. #accessibility

Profound disappointment once again at the absence of a dedicated focus on Canadians with disabilities within the new Federal Cabinet. This bolsters the reality that our community is not only left behind but increasingly ignored altogether.
