Pretty much the way to go if it is designed and constructed/maintained by competent folks that pay attention to the science. That doesn't sound like the current folks, though.

The idea that President can negotiate/dictate bilateral “deals” by using the full force of the federal government to punish and humiliate his perceived enemies goes against the whole idea of the rule of law. That should be the story, rather than normalizing this authoritarian behavior.

Found a minute or two to gather a bit of light Friday night. Still learning how best to process things.

I frequently search for something and see a link that looks like the answer, click on it, and find myself in a 5 minute video where a 3 step written procedure would have sufficed, and saved me four and three quarters minutes!
My approach: "Is there summary text? No?" Close and find a better link.

It is definitely good(ish) news. I remain concerned about the loss of talent at NASA around this, as I watch colleagues that I've worked with for more than 3 decades leaving because of the current climate at their centers.

Yeah, individuals - no matter how well off - can only do so much (aside from those at the top that are largely taking rather than giving). What we do as a community says what we value as a community. And that looks rather bleak today.
