Ironweed is blooming! Having let a third of the grasses grow in the back yard has really helped with flooding. Last year the birds gifted us Chicory and this year…Black Eyed Susan and Indian Blanket or Firewheel. This flower and its colors are often used in Native American art. So vibrant!

RFK Jr. says cancer screenings are too 'woke' now. As an actual doctor, I disagree. | Opinion RFK Jr. is considering dismantling the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. This would be a disaster for public health.

Demanding preventive care coverage is NOT “woke” as the current administration thinks of it, like playing a side of the political spectrum. Preventive care allows for bodily autonomy and monitoring of our health issues. This will strip away that care for millions.
