it's a real problem that people think this. fascism is not the result of, like, two sides getting more and more extreme. that is not what it is.

fascism is dedicated to murder, and it wins when people treat it like a regular political movement that needs to be compromised with and normalized.

I've written barks for several games, including Marvel Heroes Online, and I've seen the amount of back-and-forth editing and polishing that goes into getting them right and character-accurate.

The idea that LLMs could do this at all well is 1) utterly ignorant, 2) purely agenda-driven, or 3) both.

And that's not even getting into the absolutely ludicrous idea that they're somehow "pointless."

Well, then, yeah. Agreed. Forgetting prior episode technobabble is, unfortunately, a common sin of the entire franchise.

(Don't get me wrong, I still overall love SNW. But that doesn't mean the flaws don't make me itch.)

I mean, if we're being pedantic, Scotty didn't figure out how to use the buffer as a means of preserving someone over time until about fifty years later... 😄

But I'm referring to the second episode, yeah. Sorry to hear about the subtitles, though.

(And honestly, I think the continuity violations would bother me less if I didn't otherwise love the show so much!)

I suspect we are legion.

I am going to go stare at myself in the mirror and repeat "I will not grouse over continuity errors between an episode that just came out and an episode that aired fifty-eight years ago" over and over again until I make it true.
