Our International Film Society has voted on and now published our picks of the 100 top films of the 21st century so far. Lots of great picks in the lineup, lots of disagreements, too. It's what makes all of this so fun. For reference, here are my picks for the top spots.

All of these films were astounding in their own right, and one captured the hearts and minds of our voters. So now, it is time to reveal what film the members of the IFSCA chose as their 2024 Best Picture of the Year. Congratulations to our BEST PICTURE WINNER...

Coming in as a close second. Taking the silver and our hearts home is a film that probably should've garnered more awards attention this year than it did. But we've got love for you no matter what. Our runner up for BEST PICTURE is...

We have reached our final award for the year, but in true IFSCA fashion, we can't let our runner ups go unnoticed. Lord knows, we've got love for all these films, but this unconventional awards contender won us over. Taking the bronze in Best Picture, it's our girl Ani.

With performances this good, picking a winner is like picking your favorite child - it depends on the day. And with performances like these, it could have been anybody's day. But today, here is our winner for BEST LEAD ACTRESS.
(Runner up: TIE - Fernanda Torres & Mikey Madison)

The time has come to honor the head of the table. The one who leads their company from start to finish. Who's every decision matters in the long run. Here's who did it best. Here is our winner for BEST DIRECTOR.
(Runner up: Coralie Fargeat - The Substance)

As the lead of a film, its success is yours as well. Our winner gave us a tour de force performance that we have no choice but to honor. Here is our winner for BEST LEAD ACTOR.

And now we honor those who took a single thought and made it into a script and didn't stop until it became a film. One of the best of the year, actually. Here is our winner for BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY.

It takes a lot of skill to rewrite a story and still make it work for your medium. Our nominees did that and came up with some of the best films of the year. Here is our winner for BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY.
(Runner up: Joslyn Barnes & RaMell Ross - Nickel Boys)

Our good friend Bong Joon-Ho told us that we would see the world much clearer if we could get past that one-inch barrier. Well, we have. In fact, one film even exceeded them. Here is our winner for EXCEEDING (One Inch) BARRIERS.

One actor can carry a film, but it takes an ensemble of actors to really make it worthwhile. These actors came together to make a film that truly stood out and made everyone take notice. Here is our winner for BEST ENSEMBLE CAST.
(Runner up: The Cast of Sing Sing)

Every year, a few performers go above and beyond to deliver more than one exceptional performance. Our nominees went way above and far beyond, and our winner has proven that to us all. Here is our winner for BEST BODY OF WORK.

The youth is the future, and our nominees represent the incredible places the future of film can go. Especially when we take notice. Here is our winner for BEST YOUTH PERFORMANCE.

Music makes the world go round, and it also can make a movie a little bit more fun. Our nominees had an extra pep in their step with these tunes, and one led the pack. Here is our winner for BEST ORIGINAL SONG.
