Minute of silence planned for Manchester Arena bombing anniversary Silence will be observed twice on Thursday at Manchester Victoria Station on the eighth anniversary.

Today is the eighth anniversary of the Manchester Arena bombing. We are holding everyone close and sending our love and hugs. Anniversaries are always hard and our hearts go out to everyone affected.

On 22 May 2017, 22 people lost their lives in a terrorist attack at Manchester Arena.

After losing her son, Figen Murray campaigned fiercely to change the law, ensuring people are safer at public premises and events.

Today, Martyn's Law has received Royal Assent.

Plans for national day to remember terror victims ‘major step forward’ Government plans for a national day to commemorate terror attack victims and survivors alongside further support has been backed by campaigners.
