I’ll be working in person at a hospital stocking supply rooms with medical equipment. Not a bad gig by any means, but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t miss my current job lol

I’m so incredibly grateful that I have a position lined up with no gaps and only a slight reduction in pay, and since it’s for the same company, there’s no hiccup in my benefits either.

I hope I can come back to IT soon :(

Well, today is pretty much my last real day at work. Tomorrow I trek to corporate to turn in all my wfh equipment, and Monday I’ll start my new position.

I’m crushed. I loved my job, my team, and definitely my boss, but I drew the short straw for layoffs, so there’s nothing that can be done.

I know how fortunate I am to have two job offers less than 24h after I was laid off, but fuck if this decision isn’t just as difficult. .5 hr commute and $28.40 non-IT vs 1.5hr commute $30.72 (my old pay) and it’s an IT job

I’ll try to remember these last 3 years as the most fulfilling years of my life. Getting to apply what I know to the fullest and help people every day was such a privilege. I hope I can return one day :(
