Artwork used internally at DIC Entertainment during the production of the Super Mario World cartoon, replacing Marge Simpson with Mario. According to a former DIC employee, this was made due to an inside joke at the studio, though the exact nature of the joke has been lost.

I'm still getting used to that new Donkey Kong design but it's nice to finally have a new 3D platformer in the series, first one since DK64 26 years ago I think?

I wonder if the Mario Odyssey team is behind this one, there were definitely rumors that they were working on something akin to this.

My own personal hell

On the plus side, got over whatever sickness was kicking my ass back in the end of October. It's been a solid path mentally so far for November, and hopefully it stays that way. Had plans derailed a bit back in September but that's in the past now.

I've been feeling okay but lots of creative stuff in the background have been stressing me out — back in the old days on YouTube/Twitter (𝕏) it was far easier to come up with creative ideas, but since wanting to grow creatively, it's been a challenge of balancing workload and ambition. Tough stuff.

Feeling really under the weather lately — I don't get sick very often but sickness has been kicking my ass lately.

Hoping to recover from whatever got into my system in a few days or so. I'm triple boosted but my mother tested positive for you-know-what recently so it might be that. Hopefully not.

Just purchased the remaster of Backyard Baseball '97 and it's really well optimized for modern hardware — still have the original disc lying around, but it's convenient to have a modern-day solution on Steam

Been collecting VHS tapes lately as a side hobby, got a lot of 7 of them for five bucks each.

Toy Story's had some artifacting but it's probably had a lot of love over the years — nothing major though! Tape's held up surprisingly well, and it gives my RetroTINK some newfound purpose. Love the thing

I've been really busy with modernizing my room setup, alphabetizing all of my media, organizing my cables, etc., and it's become a multi-day project instead of a single-day project like I would had preferred. It'll be satisfying when it's complete, but it's been very time-consuming and frustrating.
