It’s been awhile since I posted actual leatherwork. Sorry, life has just gotten challenging with everything going and I feel like things have slowed to a crawl.

That said, I’m still making stuff and I love how the phoenix charm on this one turned out.

well, now you know for next time!! and i am always happy to talk leatherworking/leather care if you want to dm, i’m just a hobbyist but i’ve been taught by some lovely craftspeople and bootblacks

(that weight of leather would probably also be fine to just use shears on, even)

leather is super easy to cut into actually! all you need is a utility knife or xacto, and you don’t have to finish edges since they won’t fray (but burnishing is easy if you care to - all it takes is like an $8 tool and some burnishing gum to smooth out edges and seal them)
