Let nothing disturb you.
Let nothing frighten you.
All things pass away.
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things.
They who have God lack nothing.
God alone is enough.

A prayer for Prisons Week

Lord, you offer freedom to all people.
We pray for those in prison.
Break the bonds of fear and isolation that exist.
Support with your love all prisoners,
their families and friends,
prison staff, and all who care.
Heal those who have been wounded by the activities
of others, especially the victims of crime.
Help us to forgive one another,
and to act justly, love mercy
and walk humbly together with Christ
in his strength and in his Spirit,
now and every day.
Amen.

A portrait of Julian of Norwich

Be a Gardener
Dig a ditch
Toil and sweat
And turn the earth upside down
And seek the deepness
And water plants in time
Continue this labour
And make sweet floods to run
and noble and abundant fruits to spring
Take this food and drink
and carry it to God as your true worship

#MorningPrayer
Refresh in us, Lord,
day by day and hour by hour,
our awareness of your presence,
of your dwelling in us and among us.
As we navigate
the opportunities and challenges,
the possibilities and temptations of life,
help us hear and follow your voice,
your call to love.

THE SECOND COLLECT For Peace
O God, who art the author of peace and lover of concord, in knowledge of whom standeth our eternal life, whose service is perfect freedom; Defend us thy humble servants in all assaults of our enemies; that we, surely trusting in thy defence, may not fear the power of any adversaries; through the might of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Amen.

I presented a theological reading of this gem. The satisfaction of the desire for peace is not within the natural power of humanity, for even concord (agreement, a rugged commitment to seek the good of the other) is divinely authored. We have no power of ourselves to help ourselves. ⚓️
