#sharemondays2025 7 hour round trip yesterday to find and photograph long eared owls. Whilst wondering through the woods bumped into this fellow sat in a tree at eye level no further than a couple of metres from the path. Absolute fantastic! #birds #photography #wildlife 🦉

Sad news… Many would have know Kieran via the #sharemondays2025 community and will be saddened to hear of his passing! He was a fantastic photographer. I never met him in person, but we shared comments over images we had taken. He will be missed! Thoughts & prayers to his family!

The colours of kingfishers are unreal, I always struggle with editing them, they look over saturated, despite dialling back the blues.
