Playing around in Godot. Problem whenever I try and learn a bit of 3D gamedev is I don't know what the terms are for anything. Just googling 'how to make the thing go big' and not knowing that is handled by the BiggitudeAmplifier

I've said it before, but I'll say it again.
I'd KILL to have @everydaylouie.bsky.social as a composer for my game. Dude makes some of my favorite stuff ever and probably has the most game vibey stuff ever. Aquarium City is an amazing album, same with RAT TAXI.

honestly, go with godot.
editing scripts takes so much less time, whereas unity takes like 20 seconds to reload after you edit something.
also because its opensource you can always change the editor to fit your game.

What are some tips you'd give for making a game trailer?

Built a system where I can leave myself notes in levels and then they show up in-game / are exported to a readout file. Also rebuilt wall tiles so they auto-tile + generate randomness + generate solid collision automatically.

I think it could be a useful thing for interactivity too, kinda like dark souls and that whole note system

Godzilla rules. Every Godzilla movie is the best movie. Every mood is lightened or darkened based on proximity to Godzilla being on a screen.

Tried out a 4k resolution and lol it broke all of my UI

Someone had once tweeted that they should make a second Dungeons & Dragons movie with the same main cast but having them play different characters in a different story, and I just wanted to put that forward again because that would be so dope
