Looks like the torch juggler just lit his head on fire!

Full moon! 02-01-2026. I was shooting the sunset. My wife said turn around, & there was the full moon rising, but obscured by clouds. In the foreground is the typical Santa Cruz lighthouse crowd of entertainers, including a torch juggler. Of course, the clouds lifted as we were driving away.

Thulusdhoo, Maldives. Sunset Golden Hour at the Naafi Jetty. In the foreground, the lagoon exit is visible, with choppy, dark blue waters. A small speedboat is positioned at the same level as a reef marker, hurrying into port before the sun sets. The sky above is painted in turquoise hues, with a golden glow surrounding the setting sun in the center. Dark gray clouds frame the sun and its radiant halo. In the distance, just below the sun, a small seaplane can be seen flying off into the sunset.

Thanks. It’s real. People who have visited this island and been near Sunset Beach have seen and photographed this bird. It frequents the area, hunting for food. I have more photos of the heron from this day and other days as well. This is one I took at night using my phone. 🙏🏽👍🏽🙏🏽
