Himself, he was a little more generous than Ren, and he suspected that’s why Vicrul’s occasional challenges were most often bluff. Also, Kylo was stronger in the Force than the former Master. An order of magnitude stronger, now. They got to work, Kylo teaching Vicrul so Vicrul would teach the rest of them, in order of skill. Trudgeon last. He was strong — when enraged, he could flatten a house — but such a brute, he might not even master the simple skill and burn himself out. “Be very careful with this manipulation! You can literally set yourself on fire! Alright? Ok, first, you have to feel the Force inside you… ” After the lesson, Kylo took over flight command while Kuruk went into the lounge to learn the new ability from Ushar. Piloting the unwieldy, heavily shielded ex-penal-transport ship was a welcome challenge. They flew over snow-covered fir forests, over the greyness that separated night from dawn, into brilliant morning. He thought of the surface of StarKiller Base; where he’d met his match. There!
