Democratization Learning Space Daybreaker Network is a knowledge-sharing community by and for local organizers, who believe in building "People Power" by accumulating and managing knowledge within social movements to make it accessible to everyone. We recognize that international training programs often come with language barriers, which frequently prevent grassroots activists and community organizers from accessing vital opportunities to exchange experiences with global movements. The struggle for democracy in Thailand can be exhausting and disheartening, sometimes leading us to believe that the challenges we face are unique or unprecedented. Myanmar coup: Woman shot during anti-coup protests dies Mya Thwe Thwe Khaing, 20, is the first protester to die since the military coup on 1 February.

Then lastly we remember that 5 years ago on the 19th of February, Mya Thwe Thwe Khaing died after being shot in the head by Junta security forces in Myanmar at a peaceful protest. She was the 1st of many whose lives have been taken since coup.

Southeast Asia Mini Book and Craft Fair February 21 @ 11:00 am - February 22 @ 7:00 pm Once a month, SEA Junction holds a mini book and craft fair focusing on Southeast Asia. For the books, three kinds of books are available: New books given in consignment from recognized publishers with an interest in the countries of Southeast Asia including Silkworm Book and River Book from Thailand, ISEAS from Singapore and Yayasan Pustaka Obor from Indonesia. As a special highlight this month, there’s a restocking of books from Thai publishers. New and used books that are double to those of SEA Junction’s Library. They include books in Thai, English and Indonesian on various issues related to Southeast Asia and the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS), including a collection of books in other languages such as in French and in Italian. Few literature and development-related works from outside the region that have been donated to SEA Junction for the purpose of the fair. There are also different types of crafts from Southeast Asian countries to enjoy and appreciate, for example: Fresh restock of our inventories from Indonesia, Myanmar and more; Handmade bags and postcards from Thailand; and Puppets made from recycle papers, batik bags and shadow puppets from Indonesia All profit from the books in consignment as well as from the donated books and crafts will contribute to SEA Junction’s functioning and activities.

#艺术 不仅是博物馆里的一件件展品，也可以是干预现实、参与#公共事务 的一种方法。 在⽇常⽣活⾥，我们常常⾯对各种公共问题：规则是否公平？信息是否可信？个⼈声⾳如何被听⻅？
对很多普通⼈来说，真正的困惑并不是有没有感受，⽽是我能⽤什么⽅式表达？有哪些思考框架来帮助⾃⼰参与和表达？在哪⾥练习？
这正是这场活动的出发点，希望从简单的“艺术科普”跨越到“集体练习”。我们将直接切⼊个体经验与真实情境，而非讨论艺术理论，以分享+#工作坊 的形式，尝试使⽤艺术作为可操作的公共表达⼯具。 主讲⼈将分享并带领⼯作坊： * 如何把艺术理解为⼀种“⾃我训练”的⽅式 * 如何将私⼈经验转化为公共议题 * 如何通过设计情境，让表达与⾏动变得可练习、可尝试、可失败 如果你对公共议题有表达欲，如果你对艺术⾏为有兴趣，如果你希望在既有的看待社会问题的⽅法论外寻找更多⾏动的可能性，欢迎点击主页链接，报名加⼊这场以艺术作为⽅法的练习。

Myanmar coup: Woman shot during anti-coup protests dies Mya Thwe Thwe Khaing, 20, is the first protester to die since the military coup on 1 February.

5 years ago on the 19th of February, Mya Thwe Thwe Khaing died after being shot in the head by Junta security forces in Myanmar at a peaceful protest. She was the 1st of many whose lives have been taken since coup.
