going back and watching the first season again is really strange. it was a different show. it had a strong horror core and really felt like a classic monster movie sometimes. the show just doesn’t have moments like the christmas lights anymore. that would require creativity

MILKING that moment for all its worth. the show is slop. i know the word is overused now but it holds your hand like you’re a toddler, looks cheap (sometimes?? you’d think they’d have green screens figured out), and has dogshit pacing

i think the show in general has some strengths. i like (some) of the characters. steve and robin are cool characters. i saw people complaining about dustin but idk, something about one of the better drama parts of the season being rehashing eddie’s death feels poetic to me lol
