And so be it if it takes YEARS to re-enter into a romantic relationship again. And honestly, it’s never too late for anybody to enter into one themselves. We just gotta wait for the call that says; “Hey, this one’s JUST for you for you ONLY”. 📞 🩷

For now…my heart is safeguarded for who could be “The One”. As hard as it may be to wait and remain single, but supernaturally the true attraction would resurface between me and that other person. I don’t believe in “love in first sight”, but I do believe in a gradual growth of genuine attraction.

May-haps deep in my soul, there is still that “hopeless romantic” side of me. But for quite some time, I’ve kept it concealed, preparing for life to throw at me something I’m not expecting. If I were to re-enter into a romantic relationship again…I really want it to be genuine and worth living by.

Apparently, I’m STILL having the hidden crushes on people, but have done quite well to keeping it quiet and not communicating about it. I just have this feeling that I did tell at least one person, it would result rejection, trust issues, and even booting me out of their life in some way.

Growing up, my point of view on a person has very much shifted from one thing to another. It went from pleasant appearance to pleasant character and demeanor being more important to me. And that same applies to people I’ve had hidden crushes on. However, the feeling is still lingering within me.

And there had been times in the past I’ve had dreams about my crushes (typical young girl behavior I know). But…in recent days, even a few years ago, I’ve been having dreams on different levels of intimacy of people who I’ve found attractive, even if they weren’t the most handsome looking.

And of course as someone who is into guys (regardless of sexual attraction and ideology), I’ve had crushes on guys who were SO good looking and kind. But of course, I’ve crushed on the wrong people since most of the time they’ve already had a partner or their lifestyle is very much different.

Just a thought I’ve had and wanted to vent about. A few years ago, I was in a more serious, romantic relationship. But that peacefully ended in late 2024. Reasons for that ending I’d say is pretty typical. And I even think about the times (especially in high school) when I’ve had hidden crushes.

Due to the Great Lakes that can basically produce their own weather and getting Arctic snowfall and windchill, it’s just natural Midwestern weather for us. Our ancestors here dealt with it since they worked outdoors quite a lot as loggers, farmers, ice harvesters, and railroad operators.
