World Day for Animals in Laboratories

Some of us protested outside Sequani in Ledbury, a contract testing laboratory who experiment on many different species including beagles, rabbits, rats, mice and pigs.

On Saturday 11th January, in freezing temperatures, the north cots along with members of ledbury and Croome hunts caused mayhem for wildlife on the hills above Snowshill well into the darkness.

A long day today. We checked our local meets and thankfully they weren't daft enough to go out. The Warwickshire, however, were, and we joined @westmidshuntsabs.bsky.social to surround them and ruin their day's hunting.

We've just watched the Warwickshire Hunt pack up after 4 foxes were seen to safety by sabs.

Good team work and the addition of @3countieshuntsabs.bsky.social meant we had the hunt surrounded all day

There was a small turnout for the North Cotswold Hunt yesterday. A sab heard screaming (likely a deer) in a hedge, followed by a gunshot and silence. Sab was unable to find anything... Check tinyurl.com/3CHuntSabslinks for the full report

An amusing moment was caught on one sab's camera - @diaryofahuntsab.bsky.social - the whipper-in letting the trail hunt lie slip!

Hounds spoke intermittently throughout the day, occasionally going into full cry before packing up early - a one-horse day.

Today we attended a joint meet between the North Cotswold & Croome in Wormington. It was a small field considering, and few supporters watching. A sab did witness a fox fleeing a covert that the hounds had been put in and the huntsman took the hounds a long way round to where they fled.

We spent the morning checking our local hunts weren't out in the storm, only to find them trying to set up a marquee for their hunt ball tonight in the winds 🤣

In March 2023 Sabs made a shocking discovery – a fox buried alive underground in a sack . It’s the focus of day 6 of my (b)advent counting down the top 20 worst fox hunting crimes with @huntsabs.bsky.social . . .
