The Dove Valley Mink Hounds were out today, killing wildlife along the banks of the River Blythe, near Uttoxeter.

Little did they know, a bunch of Sabs were ready and waiting.

As soon as we made our presence known they did an about turn and went straight back to their vehicles.

As the hunt headed back into Hodsock, all hell broke loose in Langold, with assorted hunt followers smashing the windows of two more sab vehicles, in a blatant and cowardly attack.

Next, hounds were taken to hunt around South Farm, Letwell. But it was clear the hunt were all pretty over it by now.

The convoy of wildlife killers, hunt sabs and knife wielding bumpkins continued south towards Dinnington, where hounds picked up a scent along a watercourse, but thankfully this descended into faff.

At this point, a waiting sab vehicle had its windscreen smashed, by a hunt supporter who threw a brick from a moving quad bike. An act almost worthy of attempted murder charge.

Hounds were taken via Oldcotes and Firbeck onto the Sandbeck Estate, where hounds picked up a scent and gave chase. Luckily Nottingham and Lincoln sabs had joined us, to provide "second sabs", heading in to Kings Wood to take control of the hounds.

Nevertheless, sabs kept up with the Grove as they continued on their quest to hunt and kill foxes, despite some violent behaviour from the gathered hunt support on Hodsock Cottage land.

The day started with sabs well positioned to intervene when foxes were chased. This obviously angered Josh Taylor, who decided to hit a sab on the back of the head with a whip; a great way to treat a woman on International Women's Day.

Today we conveniently found hunt vehicles heading towards Hodsock Cottage Farm, home of hunt Master Josh Taylor and his big freezers of frozen vegetables.

Having finally had enough the hunt packed up at 4:45 and we headed off to the pub for a much needed pint.

Sabs managed to get inbetween hounds & fox on a few occasions and covered their scent.

Late on in the day the hounds did manage to chase a fox south from the wood and across a busy road north of Hockerton almost causing an accident with cars & motorbikes having to brake to avoid a nasty collision.

Following this blatant hunting the hounds moved off and spent the majority of the day hunting any and all wildlife inside the large Park Springs Wood. Here, multiple hares, deer, and foxes were seeing running for their lives.

Huntsman Tom Haddock was seen encouraging them on but once we let him know he was on camera the hunt soon gathered the hounds up and moved off with two left inside the log pile.

With sabs outnumbering the hunt for once we managed to keep eyes on them all day as they hunted the mainly large woodlands surrounding Winkburn Hall. Early on in the day sabs caught the hounds marking a large log pile where a fox was hiding in Roe Wood.
