We've been discussing our Europe wide trawl impact assessment today at wgfbit, with his progress on the analysis for the paper. Muddy seabed is most heavily impacted across the regions.

Feeling the buzz from experts here at IFREMER in Nantes, France. What’s in it for them? Experts value being able to focus for a whole week on working and developing ideas around a common meaningful theme with peers from various fields of science/policy.

Started my train journey to Nantes to chair the @icesmarine.bsky.social working group FBIT. I'm looking forward to creating and seeing the outputs of EU wide trawl impact assessment.

This coming week in Nantes, France working with a cross-disciplinary group of experts - including benthic ecology, marine habitat mapping, fisheries gear technology, and policy and management.

I've been at Greenland Institute of Natural Resources in Nuuk this week working on applying the ICES WGFBIT trawling impact assessment method to Greenland waters. It has been productive (and also an amazing country to visit).
