We all feared the transition from his old ABA school where he has been for two years to public school was going to be a rocky one. But no -- somehow he was able to at such a young age absorb lessons what to do when he starts becoming disregulated. With only minor redirection, he is really thriving.

It is so good to see my kiddo doing so well in kindergarten -- and in a mainstreamed class, too! I am so glad the school and the school district really paid attention to his needs when formulating his IEP, observing what supports he needed with his ADHD + Autism.

Today, I read Mo Willems' "Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" and from his Elephant and Piggie series, "There's a Bird On Your Head", to my son and the other kindergartners in his classroom. The kids loved the storytelling, and the stuffed Elephant and Piggie I donated to the class.

Every time I try to make a pumpkin pie, it always tastes like a Mrs. Smith frozen pumpkin pie. I once took a whole pumpkin, seeded it, scooped out the innards, peeled it, boiled it all, and mashed it. After you add the other ingredients, it tasted like ... Mrs. Smith frozen pumpkin pie.

I got my start in software testing by first doing hardware testing, and then firmware testing. Software was the next logical thing to test. Then I started focusing more on testing the ideas that defined the software that I was testing. And that's how I've started my journey into product management!
