The Titans Return toy may be basic. But all my brawns are bangers!

TRANSFORMERS RETRO SERIES BRAWN

So yeah... I avoided this mold when it came out initially because I had the Titans Return version of both Brawn and Outback, and I was so tired of constantly upgrading my collection over and over again, and in some ways I still am. But I must admit, finally caving in and giving this mold a chance, hes actually really fucking good!

Its not every time a G1 minibot that gets upgraded to a deluxe is a banger. Take a look at warpath and the earthrise bumblebee molds as flawed examples. But bran im pretty sure is as perfect as he can be, ad these colors definitely stand out to me way more than the SS86 releases, the black windows and the deeper green abd yellow are just simply more appealing in my opinion, though i wish they included the original cartoon head as an option!

Where this mold truly shines though, in my opinion, is its transformation! The way the legs unfurl and wrap around the body while the arms tuck away into the backpack with the grill stored inside the chest leads to a very satisfying transformation made up of various trucks seen before but it all pairs well together, and ultimately leading to what is simply the most perfect little off road vehicle guy! Hesitant to call it a jeep because I dont know enough about cars but im pretty sure hes not supposed to be a jeep. But regardless its just an overall well sculpted, super solid little car!

And thats probably the best way to describe this lad, simple but perfect. Aside from adding wrist swivels i wouldn't change a thing. Well worth the purchase though inwish I got it before the price hikes...

TRANSFORMERS REVENGE OF THE FALLEN VOYAGER MIXMASTER

Hahaha! You thought we were done with constructicons this year, but guess again bucko! Mixmaster is my favorite constructicon and its all because of this guy right here, I thought he was so cool as a child and im extremely happy to have finally reaquired him again complete!

Now this figure does have a bit of a reputation back when he came out. Notorious for being "overcomplicated" or "difficult to transform"... and I will admit as a kid in 2009, I definitely struggled getting him looking clean in his alt mode and even just transforming him smoothly. But obtaining him again as an adult... he really is not as bad as people made it seem! A ton of the joints he has in the panels and such really exist for minor cosmetic adjustments and articulation. Once you know what you're doing, its actually a straforward and satisfying conversion, able to be done in sections and closed together in several swift motions, but intricate enough to keep ya engaged for a few minutes!

All that on top of the insane articulation and customizability in his appearance, leads to what has probably become one of my favorite toys in the original 2009 toyline! And he even has a third cannon mode! Which let's be honest... is mostly just him on his belly with his legs in the air, but still looks cool enough! Unfortunately he doesn't have any combining capabilities, but there are other options if you want a ROTF Devastator, like the original supreme class set with no robot modes or the recent Studio Series toys from a few years back!

But as a stand alone toy, I think hes simply excellent and well worth the aftermarket price! Which for a nearly two decade old toy of such quality, hes not that expensive! So all things considered... GET EM!

TRANSFORMERS STUDIO SERIES 86 MIXMASTER
(Devastator part 6- finale)

The final member of the construction has finally released the other month, at long last completing Devastator surprisingly fast as all members were released within the middle of 2025.

And yes, Devastator as a whole is great, hes splif, decently articulated for the size, and has good heft... irs just a shame all the individual members were just so... bland! Mixmaster here i actually do also find quite interesting, much like long haul. Hes got decent articulation abd looks quite good proportionally. But what i enjoy most about him is his leg transformation is kinda of insane! The way the feet and heels and front of the cab all maneuver around eachother is super interesting to me, and while thebrest of his transformation is just kinda of him tucking away, the legs alone keep the transformation engaging to do over and over again! Giving us both a solid cement mixer mode and leg mode!
It is also worth noting that the ankle tilts for the combiner are installed inside both mixmaster and scrapper, but on mix its slightly lower than scrappers so his ankles aren't even, its nit drastic enough to ruin posing but it can make it wonky in extreme poses. But aside from that its a solid base with a lot of support, even a hell spur, for Devastator.

All in all, mixmaster is a pretty good sign off to the team, nothing to outrageous or egregious, fits well with the other 5 and let's be honest, most of us will be keeping them together as Devastator anyway, and as a whole, I think the team was worth it!

TRANSFORMERS STUDIO SERIES 86 SCAVENGER
(Devastator part 5)

The fifth member and second arm of Devastator, scavenger here is not that much better compared to some of the others. He has the same limited articulation as the others with no wrists or waist and even has bonecrushers shared legs! And hes got one of those transformations where things get in the way and you have to do it in parts whixh isnt satisfying to me in any way! And hisbhands are painted green, which is weird, they're molded black and the paint chipping is actually horrendous because they hinge into such a tight space in alt mode... and even in alt mode you can really feel the limitations there as the cab doesn't swivel and he doesn't have wheels under the treads. All you can do is move the bucket around which... is fine I guess.
I still feel hes better than bonecrusher for sure, but there's two ways I feel they could've fixed this design that high key would've made him a banger! First off, his bucket tail is removable, but the port is on the bucket and the peg is on his back... they could've easily swapped the two and added a few extra ports on the arms so he could use his bucket like a weapon at no additional cost to the figure! And since his hands fold in on a hinge... make them ball joints so they can swivel! C'mon hasbro the easy solution to all articulated hands is RIGHT THERE!
But alas, scavenger is kind of a boring middle man of the group. Not my favorite but far from bonecrusher. At least he makes a good arm!

TRANSFORMERS STUDIO SERIES 86 HOOK & LONG HAUL
(Devastator parts 3&4)

Next up in out Constructicon line up we got these two, sold together under the "Commander Class" bracket, but is more functionality just a multipack plus accessories!

Starting off with hook, hes a pretty bog standard release, not too functionality dissimilar to his predecessor from combiner wars. Actually he feels much the same as that near decade old toy plus stronger plastic and a few minor upgrades like a bicep swivel, articulation shoulder flaps, denser plastic and a tider combiner head storage! Posing is a little clunky but far from the worst I've seen and its mostly just the lack of wrists and waist (like everyone else so far) and hus lanky proportions. I do enjoy that you can even remove the crane arm and use it as an accessory if you want to! And it can make for a sick weapon!

Long haul on the other hand... is probably my absolute favorite of the six! A complete and total upgrade from his previous incarnation with absolutely zero shared engineering, this lad is solid and dense with great hand feel, and probably the best articulation and proportions in this whole set! No wrists still, to be expected, but his movement is enhanced with balljointed elbows and super deep knees, along with an optional second knee if you want that extra movement or the optional look! Ad hes got the smoothest transformation of the bunch too, turning into a lush dump truck, with unfortunately no dumping capability. However I absolutely adore that you can turn all the combiner bits into a tidy lil trailer you can hitch onto the back of his truck, which is probably the best solution i think there is for all those excess parts! And it really does compliment the look of his alt mode really well i feel!

And this set makes up the majority of DEVASTATOR himself! Hook and long haul themselves form the main torso and head, which is to be expected, with the trailer of accessories forming the hips and thighs, the lower arms and hands, and the chest plate! So the bulk of Devastators functionality is in this set! And devy has great articulation on show here, for his size. Full ratcheted hips with hip skirts that move out of the way, 90ยฐ knees, and a waist swivel! The arms got standard universal movement and the legs provide ankles! Only areas i wish were improved on are the hands, I feel could've been done cleaner or more articulated, and I wish his head looked down. But overall, im happy with what we got!

TRANSFORMERS STUDIO SERIES 86 BONECRUSHER
(Devastator part 2)

Much like Scrapper, Bonecrusher here is from the first wave of constructicons earlier this year, and he's probably the weakest one in the set, making many worry about how the quality of these constructicons were going to be as a whole! Thankfully though he wasn't a precursor for what was to come...

Things I will give this toy are an entertaining transformation and a solid vehicle mode! Yeah hes an overdose of green with not a lot of visual interest, but thats G1 Bonecrusher for ya. The biggest problems lie in his robot mode, and hes just overly limited in even more ways that scrapper was! With short bricky arms that can barely maneuver around his clunky torso, and legs that, while functional, are alward to pose with the wide torso stance and his weird locking knees.

Hes not the worst thing in the world, leaps and bounds better then the combiner wars outing, but damn, maybe fold out balljointed wrists and some sort of waist would've saved this release for me, but as it stands, hes my least favorite constructicon in this set by far!

TRANSFORMERS STUDIO SERIES 86 SCRAPPER
(Devastator part 1)

I guess its finally time to talk about the ss86 constructicons, I could've reviewed this guy when I got em, but I wanted to wait till I got the whole team first...

And let's be honest here, scrapper scrapes by with what is a pretty middle of the road release. Not bad by any means, but needlessly limited in functionality and articulation, a lack of a waist swivel I kinda get, having his torso filled with a giant ratchet for combined mode and not wanting to ruin stability at all, but no wrists? C'mon! At least he has elbows which already puts him above the Combiner Wars release, and with his own individual weapon as opposed to kist weilding combiner junk, they definitely put in the effort into making him feel like his own bot and not just part of a larger set!

Vehicle mode is quite nice though, everything locks in pretty solidly and the transformation is pretty simple but engaging enough to do repeatedly back and forth. And he's got weapon storage for bot his gun and the two larger cannons for combined mode if you really wanted to! And his bucket moves like a bucket needs to, with tight enough joints you can put some light garbage in there like the real thing. And it doesn't take many more steps to turn him into devastators leg, but I do despise the way he latches on! Having to split his legs and wrap em around the peg, the connection is secure for sure but I worry about the longevity of the tab that holds the legs together, then the whole thing will be fucked!

All in all, hes fine I guess, a decent part of devastator but on his own I fear he doesn't really fill out that voyager budget that well, I understand the logistics behind it buti still feel they could've done more!

TRANSFORMERS MISSING LINK C-07 ARCEE (PROTOTYPE) & C-08 ARCEE

Ive mentioned it before, but when missing link initially came out, it held little interest to me, but then I got latched onto the idea of the diaclone stuff and then... they revealed Arcee! And I was in love! For the first time ever, were getting an official toy based directly on what the prototype G1 arcee never was! And of course its not 1 to 1, because it was a foam prototype nowhere close to being finished, but I feel its as close as possible to that "what if" scenario if we had actually GOTTEN a true G1 arcee!

And Ima believe what Sixo said where what we have isnt toy & toon, but rather prototype & toy based on minor deco choices and primarily how the character cards are decorated, the pink and white one has a card matching the other toyndeco characters and the orange and pick ones given the special card, but ultimately, who cares!

Regardless of how you see em, these are some phenomenal toys! Not even joking. Yeah the articulation is a bit stunted with no waist swivel and limited arms, but she can surprisingly be really expressive with the mobility she has, and works well with that chunky G1 build. She's also just got phenomenal hand feel, with super thick and dense plastic and die cast in the shoulders and feet giving her a nice heft and keeping her grounded despite her petite little feet. I'm also just in love with the car, gives me big blurr energy with the huge sloped hood, sleek aerodynamic design and open cab, she's very swooshable and fun to handle! Making for one of the better arcee alt modes I've seen!

I'm overall a very happy costumer with these! Are they worth the nearly $100 price of retail? Now with import fees on top?... honestly no, that price is fucking dastardly. But I will admit, im not mad one bit, butnif they are too niche for ya, its possible they might go on sale one day, id say aim closer to the $70 range and that'd be more fair! Regardless, this is top 10 of the year for me!

The Update... HASLAB OMEGA PRIME OPTIMUS PRIME...

So as we all know... The haslab OMEGA PRIME set was a total fiasco! For some, a yellowing magnus, for many, a self destructing Optimus prime torso, and other various rarer production issues im sure!

People were quick to report their experiences to the internet through social media forums like Facebook and TFW2005, as well as complain to hasbro consumer care in the hopes they can rectify these issues. After all, this was a nearly four hundred dollar, made to order, collector targeted product fans have been waiting years for, andfor a toy to explode on them like that was simply inexcusable... and how hasbro has continued to handle the situation was equally as unpredictable and crazy.

Some customers, like myself, were told to ship the whole optimus prime toy back to them with a prepaid shipping label. Others were told just the cab. And eventually they stopped requesting broken copies and started offering replacements to all who ordered one and called. And maby were told replacements should start rolling out by June 2025... no news on anything occurred until September, three months later, and new copies of optimus prime starting being shipped out to new customers! Finally!... except it was ONLY the cab, regardless if you've sent in the whole thing or not. I had to call them again to ask what needed to happen to make mine whole again, and thankfully they offered to just let me keep this one and they'll send in a whole new fresh complete copy...

Now did they fix his exploding torso issue? ... sort of?... there's no new tooling fixing the piece, rather they simply manually sanded down the parts on each new copy they produced! Which results in wildly different tolerances from copy to copy, some might still break, some might be fine who knows... and from the way it feels, my "A" copy feels perfectly fine, but my complete "B" copy feels unmodified in any way, so I fear hes a ticking time bomb! Now marked as "Do not transform" as i fear, he'll perish one day...

I'm happy its all over, and im also happy to own these guys... but this was truly one of the worst disasters to come out of a hasbro product in recent years, and has left a bitter taste in my mouth for the idea of future Haslabs! Hopefully its all behind us though because I don't know what'd I'd do if Liokaiser is messed up on such a cosmic scale as he was...

TRANSFORMERS REVENGE OF THE FALLEN DELUXE RAVAGE

I always lind of wanted this guy from the movie like, not caring that he's way too big to scale with the rest of the toys, he just looks so cool!

He is a bit of a nothingburger of a figure let's be honest, transforming into a cybertronian... thing? Thats mostly just cat parts rearranged. And as a robotic cat he looks cool and his legs are highly articulated! But the head can't do any posing, sacrificed for a biting gimmick that goes through the back. I also wish the tail did more, but eh, its fine I guess.

Hes a fun little toy that heavily reminds me of 2009, and he ultimately makes me happy, so I guess that makes him a win!

I hope, somewhere in the world, there is a transfem who's dead name was Hunter and she changed it to Gatherer making fun of the same logic.

TRANSFORMERS G1 1984 SUNSTREAKER

Since me semi-recet journey began of collecting some of the original G1 toys, I figured... know what?... i think I need Sunstreaker as believe it or not, hes one of the most historically important transformers there is! Not because he was particularly relevant in media or this toy is particularly cool, but because this was the first ever designed diaclone carbot, one of the oldest toys that would be imported to become Transformers in the first place, and is one of the godfathers of transformers as a whole, much like prowl, many transformers designs we see nowadays will share elements of this guys basic design! How cool is that!?

And as a toy hes nothing really special, he does a cool overlaying transformation scheme with his arms but is pretty basic otherwise, its cool he turns into a modified Lamborghini countach, which became a popular model for G1 apparently, and as a robot hes as bricky as it comes with zero articulation except elbows and wrists and outward arm movement. He has some cool gimmicks up his sleeve at least, like his hands are on launchers and can be swapped out for either missiles or his shoulder pauldrons, and he can fit a diaclone pilot, which is always fun to me.

But yeah, me getting this guy was half inspired by this history, the design i love, and the acquisition of the recent MISSING LINK Cordon, who's an emulation of this very mold, and I felt like I owed it to myself to check out the original alongside the new articulated model, and this one is definitely a charming product of its time!

TRANSFORMERS MISSING LINK C-06 CORDON

We have an unusual treat with us today folks, as this is my first time actually owning a missing link figure! And it is, for sure a jarring experience!

I never owned the G1 sunstreaker mold or any of its... well... pre-paints before this, so i have no experience with the design, but like, keeping in line with G1 hes blocky and chunky, with die-cast in the feet and funky proportions! But like... he poses like a dream weirdly enough? He has articulation in places that feel straight up unnatural to move... he has hips but no waist so his leg joints just spawns out of nowhere! The arms move seamlessly from what was one solid block! And the head looks and feels like it really shouldn't move... but look! It can look around like an inquisitive little fellow!

All this to say, articulation is excellent if not extremely awkward, but like what do you expect, its a 1 to 1 recreation of a toy from over 40 years ago given new joints it was never meant to have! Other notable features on this gur are the decals, which are no longer stickers but now sculptedand painted details on the figure itself, enhancing the hand feel in my opinion, and he does have a rub sign on the bottom of his foot, meaning he IS an autobot, just not a proud one. Too busy being proud of other things I guess. Alternate hands, ones are for grabbing the others look like the originals punching gloves, and he comes with all the swappable accessories the Diaclone toy did opting for pegged in pieces as opposed to spring loaded launchers. And a nice shiny chrome rifle for good killing measure!
I wasn't sure about missing link honestly, and for the most part I do feel the same, being i think I'd rather just seek out a G1 toy of a character if I wanted the design, feels more authentic to the experience, but like... if they keep making more DIACLONE releases... ima go all in on those!

GIVE ME SPIN-OUT! GIVE ME DELTA MAGNUS! OR LET ME KEEP MY MONEY!

TRANSFORMERS G1 COMMEMORATIVE SERIES PROWL

The latest addition to my G1 collecting journey, consists of this fuckin dude. Who for the longest time I didn't really have any interest in getting, he sat there in my local collectors shop for months before I finally decided to get him using trade fodder and store credit I had anyway. And there are minor differences between this release snd the 1984 original, mostly just the lack of chrome on the rifle and missiles, which I do miss a little but im not that worried.

But here he is... honestly one of the godfathers of transformers in a way, as his hood chest, roof back, door wing design is the pure fundamental basis for what is your standard car robot build! Shared not only be other G1 bots like the other datsuns but also jazz, and many modern bots like the live action bumblebee, and countless competitors and KOs use this very same design philosophy thay all stems from this guy!

Articulation actually isnt bad for the time! No leg or head movement of course, but arms are loaded in basically all the places they needed to be, universal shoulders, 90ยฐ elbows and rotating wrists, meaning this can be one expressive Brick!
And despite being a cop, I will say the alt mode is very pretty! The all clear windows actually do this deco justice I feel, and its just got a good feel to it overall! Helps you forget the fact he has no side windows! And you can fit a diaclone pilot in there, which is such a fun gimmick like how come G1 never really made the most of it! Its so cool having little guys drive around in your transformers toys!

Turns out this is a pretty decent toy all things considered, he may be basic by modern standards, but hes pretty fun and pretty, so im not too mad he managed to invade my hou-
Eh not gonna go further with that joke.

TRANSFORMERS LEGACY GENERATIONS SELECTS BLACK ZARAK

Another long time wanted figure is finally mine today! With the last outstanding titan I feel i need in my collection! Sure I COULD go out and get the omega sentinel or grand Maximus someday, but I dont really care about those repaints, this is the last titan I feel I really need to cap off the size class!

And its the scorponok mold again! Already a phenomenal mold now decked out in an all black deco with gold and red highlights, which does do the mold justice i will say, though its weird I prefer the original purple and green deco, despite my love for black repaints. And I feel its because there's such a lack of breakup amongst the sea of black, I feel he needs a TAD BIT more paint somewhere to make it stand out, but oh well, im nitpicking at this point i feel...
But deco aside, still a realy solid titan mold, with great articulation for the size, solid plastic, excellent sculpt and enough functionality to stand out in the size class. As he is a double headmaster much like fort max, the new sculpt and deco for the headmaster is beautiful by the way! The scar is wicked! And a new staff weapon too, whixh has storage in both modes thankfully! Technically hes a quadruple changer now too, as he goes from robot to city to scorpion like usual, but there's a secret two headed serpent mode you can make from the anime, which is kinda cute ngl.

Overall there's very little to complain about with this guy! Very happy to finally have him and im happy my masterforce cast is getting rounded out too! NOW GIVE US THE AUTOBOT HEADMASTER JUNIORS YOU COWARDS!

TRANSFORMERS ROBOTS IN DISGUISE 2015 WARRIOR CLASS STARSCREAM

Struck a deal on this guy recently and I gotta say, im glad I didn't pay more than $20 for him on the aftermarket, because this thing is WEAK!

I will say, love the creativity and twists they added to the typical starscream formula, the way the torso transforms is definitely very clever, and having the wings become a sort of cape as opposed to the usual backpack solution is a nice touch and very fitting for this version of the character.
Its unfortunate he has the hand feel of a dollar store toy though! All the plastic is thin and bendy, and extremely hollow, which i know hollow plastic wasn't uncommon for the time, but it didn't always affect the actual structure of the toy, damn! The weird proportions dont really help him either... skinny legs with a wide torso and shoulders abd tiny kinda curved arms make for an incredibly awkward time posing the thing, and I personally find that face sculpt just ugly...

All this toy say, yeah im finally glad to have this character, but there are significantly better deluxe starscreams on the market! If you're looking to round out your RiD15 or starscream collections, I wouldn't spend more than $15 if possible! But easily one of the weaker toys in my collection...

SH FIGUARTS ONE PIECE EUSTASS CAPTAIN KID

One more figure down in the One Pice line of figuarts toys, most of them have been amazing thus far, but Kid here really had m attention once I got him!
Hes got the typical hallmarks of the line, great articulation, excellent sculpt and paint work, expressive faces! Though with a few notable issues... his cape is the biggest issue really! Good thing he comes with a dedicated brand bc the cape weighs more than the actual figure itself! Causing him to topple backwards when wearing it. Shoulder posing is a little awkward too, they're sculpted a little thin so you have to really work with them to get it looking natural. And the last issue i take with him is the head loves to pop off with minimal effort! If you so much as look at him funny that noggin is coming right off!

But really, I can look past all these issues because he makes up fornit with that beautiful robot arm! The sculpt abd paint on this thing is beautiful and its not that dense so he has no issues holding it up! But the articulation in the hand is where the real magic is! Ive handled transformers before and im no stranger to articulated fingers, but this is one ofnthe cleanest attempts at a fully articulated hand I've ever seen! The joints are all buttery smooth and move naturally without any weirdness, making this guy one of the most fun to pose toys i own! And you can even remove the hand for a cannon look which is pretty dope too!

Is he worth nearly 100 dollars though?... eeeeeeeh thats where the release looses me a little, I get why hes that price, but I think I'd much rather pay closer to 80 for him... can't complain to much because he is ultimately great and a fine addition to my collection!

TRANSFORMERS AGE OF THE PRIMES VORTEX

Yep, I decided im going for the new Combaticons over the combiner wars option, and were actually starting the team off quite strongly in my opinion! Vortex on his own rules!

Idl what it is about him, but something about vortex here gives me old CHUG vibes, maybe its the metallic gunmetal plastic or the kibble hanging off his arms, but thats not a negative in any way I love those toys, but hes got the added bonus of modern toy solidity and stability! Pretty well articulated too! Only thing hes really missing for a standard deluxe is wrists, which is unfortunate I feel like deluxes have been lacking in wrist swivels lately... but for vortex its a little understandable with all that kibble his arms are buried in. But he makes up for it with his accessories, two smaller guns and a larger pistol, that he looks sick with!

Helicopter mode though is... simply perfect! No notes! Except I wish you could moun the gun perfectly center upfront like the G1 toy, and I find it funny the rear landing gear is attached to his head, good use of space i guess but it feels awkward and you can give him a man bun in robot mode with it! Lol! There's a weird oddity with mine specifically where the rotors dont spin super freely, unless you collaps it THEN they spin better... that urks me specifically bc like, half the fun of a helicopter transformer is getting to spin the rotor around like a fidget spinner, and it sucks when you dont get that satisfaction.

But all in all, a very solid deluxe! A great stand alone figure and hopefully one his team shows up they're all great, look great, and work great together!

TRANSFORMERS AGE OF THE PRIMES VENIN

I can't believe this thing is real and also of the quality that it is! They finally made a new insecticon mold for the first time since shrapnel! And it is glorious! Yes he is extremely simple, basically an upscale modernized copy of the G1 toy. With some neat transformation tricks in the shoulders and arms, legs that tuck away nicely, and a head that... well, let's just say he's skylinxing it the way he doesn't give a fuck that the robot head and insecr head are the same, just using optical illusions to hide in plain sight.
And none of that is inherently negative, as a matter of fact I have very few negatives to talk about really. Do be warned his hands love to pop out of the sockets, the wings do hinder articulation a bit making it awkward in natural poses, and hes got a bunch of hollowness in the limbs, which isn't uncommon in transformers and I usually dont bother bringing it up, but its actually quite egregious here...

But all things considered, he is a lovely deluxe that overall is quite a joy to play with, so I the end i consider him a win if you are looking for fun factor, abd unique design above all else.

TRANSFORMERS AGE OF THE PRIMES VS MULTIPACK ANIMATED NEMESIS PRIME

At last, the final piece of this years 4-pack, and to no one's surprise my favorite in this pack is the animated figure and the nemesis prime figure! And every time they release this mold again with a new deco, I love it more and more each time! Optimus was fine, motormaster was great, but this is just the best! And now I really hope we get a Toxitron version before too long, and maybe even an SG deco bc thats technically canon.

Either way, its a phenomenal mold in a phenomenal deco! The deep bloody reds and super saturated metallic teal are doing something to me against the pitch satin black! And I adore that they retooled the head to give him a face mask, i feel this release wouldn't have hit this hard with the normal face... my one complaint deco-wise is i wish some of the details weren't skipped out on on the axe. It feels slightly u finished without those bits in the blade picked out in black or something.

But yeah this toy easily dominates this pack for me, and its not even close! And I swear it isn't Animated Bias, he legitimately is just that good! But the set as a whole is an easy 5 star banger! By far my favorite of the multipacks we've gotten, and I think the only one I've kept all four members of so... yeah! I recommend it for sure!

TRANSFORMERS AGE OF THE PRIMES VS MULTIPACK HORRI-BULL

Part 3 of 4 in ranking this years multipack from least to most interesting! And today I get to talk about the final member of the decepticon headmaster juniors! Which have all been released in various random 4-packs throughout the years... which does suck for those who want the complete team, having to seek out one member from three different sets from three different lines, but oh well, maybe they'll release the three together on their own someday.

And while Fangry and Squeezeplay both could easily be seen from what molds they were trolled from, horri-bull here was borderline unrecognizable as a retool of skullcruncher, not gonna lie, I thought they'd gave him a new mold from the ground up until someone pointed it out so... kudos! And even with that knowledge the differences are night and day, and he might as well be his own mold at this point! He does still feel very titans return though, with the hollow forearms and legs, and the use of balljoints which has somewhat faded over the years. But he more than makes up for it in crisp sculpted detail and decent posability despite the limited joints! Only real issue i have with him is the head connector being wobbly and loose, and this unfortunate thing where the bull horns are painted pink and come packaged in a sprew, meaning you have to pop em off leaving a nasty gash exposing the blue plastic underneath... not the worst thing in the world, but they should've handled that better...

All in all though im quite impressed with him, its nice having the team all together and having a unique alt mode amongst the decepticons! Though i do have enough bull in my life as it is!

TRANSFORMERS AGE OF THE PRIMES VS MULTIPACK ULTRA MAGNUS

Part 2 of 4 in this multipack going from least to most personal hype. And Magnus here has a story very similar to bumpers, as a repaint of a previously released deluxe, being the legacy G1 toy optimus, in arguably less interesting colors. Nearly the entire thing is white with little bits of Grey, and the only real splash of color is on the face... on its own without the lore, this toy is bland as fuck.
But believe it or not, this is the only ultra magnus in my collection thats just a white optimus prime! No classics, no armada or blokees, just this guy, and I think having at least one of the trope is a good enough representation.
Regardless of deco and lore though, its still a phenomenally fun deluxe! With loads of articulation baring wrists, and two guns and an axe which is more accessories than average for a deluxe. And yeah, its poor man's missing link but I explained when I got optimus that this deluxe has more appeal to me than missing link does as more of a homage than a 1 to 1 recreation!

But yeah, I like him, despite being one of the most blinding things I own, hes pretty good! Bros so white it hurts!

TRANSFORMERS AGE OF THE PRIMES VS MULTIPACK BUMPER

At long last, a target 4-pack where I actually want to keep every member with no one being sold off! Yay! And as such, ima give every single member a dedicated post. Starting with the least interesting to my favorite... and unfortunately the least interesting one here is bumper...

Mind you, he's not bad in any way! I still believe the SS86 bumblebee mold is quite good and he wears it well... its just... the differences between him and bumblebee are miniscule! Besides a retooled headsculpt, hes got blacks instead of greys, and a slightly lighter shade of yellow, but so slight they look identical on most cameras. And for the most part I get it, G1 bumper looked quite similar to bee anyway just had different car parts, that being said the thing that absolutely would've sold this release would be retooled feet! Squaring them off to look less like a beetle. But alas, we got what we got.

Not bad, but definitely could've been better, chances are if he wasn't in this pack i wouldn't have bothered.

TRANSFORMERS AGE OF THE PRIMES MICRONUS PRIME

Simply put... im in love! Unlike Onyx who definitely looked cool but ultimately underwhelmed me, micronus here has brought me hours of joy and I've picked him up and played with him days after I got em!
You know what he reminds me of? POWER CORE COMBINERS! The apex armor set is slightly smaller than your average deluxe and integrates with the micronus minicon perfectly, and micronus is damn near perfect for his size, with all the articulation you'd want and an adorable stout appearance that matches his RiD15 appearance pretty well. Yes, I am aware hes clear plastic and that can be worrying, but he feels pretty thick and dense in the joints so im not toooooo worried! But it is worth noting to be careful when handling him!

But like... aside from that whats not to love! He turns into a minicon tablet from armada, but rounded to fit in the armor, which itself turns either into a unicycle bike for him to ride, or into modular bits to plug onto various modern figures in the same vein as the weaponizers and such. And yes, it is possible to stand the bike on its own as the wheel is pretty wide, and just tight enough you can fit it upright and it can stay. And the transformation is just so cool! The head and torso doesn't do much, but the wheel coming out and unfurling into the legs then tabbing into the body is just *chefs kiss*

Its just a fun set, and you get a lot of bang fornyour buck, as things are looking now, he might be the best prime released so far and might be top 10 in the line in my opinion! If you grabbed any of the primes, make sure hes one of em!

TRANSFORMERS AGE OF THE PRIMES ONYX PRIME
Finally im able to talk about the new stuff! And we got two new primes this wave! And I know everyone, myself included, is stoked for Onyx here bc he looks cool as hell and seemingly had an interesting transformation... well im here to tell ya that in person... hes okay.
This is probably gonna be an extremely hot take, but onyx prime honest isnt doing it for me. Sure the sculpted detail is immaculate with a combination of robotic mechanical details and beastly furry and veins sculpted in, with an appropriately ancient vibe in the helmet and armor to go along with ye olde dragony themes! But as a toy... he feels cheap to me. All molded in a few shades of brown and gold without much break up. And while the centaur mode is admittedly neat, the conversion too and from all three modes is extremely basic. Especially the transformation from just robot to beast! Hes just a functionally boring beast former. Feels like a toy from the Beast Hunters toy line of all things...
Again, not inherently bad mind you. But for such an important historical transformers character... id want something more, but to be honest thats feels standard with these primes aside from megatronus really.
Now I will say his bow and arrow/staff weapon is really clumsy and weak... thats something that definitely could've been handled better i think ... probably would've been better off as two separate things as opposed to just one weapon.
I'm sorry, but I feel there's just not that much interesting to say about onyx prime! He does the job well but I know they could've done more with a leader class dragon! Like look at legacy TM2 megatron or tiger tigerhawk for examples of interesting beast transformations! Just feels disappointing you know?
