about HALF of the strategy (1 stop vs 2, switching to fresh softs, etc) is correct and a lot of instances are based in real events (including the crash). But "guy takes slow car and it stays slow" isn't good for Hollywood storytelling

I call it "Days of Thunder in an Armani suit." As for the race strategy, a solid 50% of it (at minimum) is fictional. It's stuff that's real-world ADJACENT, but the drama of the film requires a lot of suspension of disbelief...and of physics.

it was a great editorial, I have no notes, and Sally Goldenberg thinks it's an endorsement of Lander, not Cuomo. They literally close by saying "we wish the next Mayor well and hope for a stronger field in 29."
