18.02.2026 01:15 β π 7 π 6 π¬ 0 π 0Someone recently uploaded the complete George Lucasβ Super Live Adventure.
And what, you ask, is that? It was a short-lived arena show that combined Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Willow, American Graffiti, and everyoneβs favorite Lucas film: Tucker: The Man and His Dreams.
Itβs as nuts as it sounds.
Time to start stockpiling Quatloos and leather chest harnesses.

Congrats to you both!
I have a pitch for your wedding outfits -- have you considered red leather and gold crowns? Think about it.

13.02.2026 00:34 β π 16 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I am not blind to the ways genAI will encroach into filmmaking. It will change how we do things. To what degree and how beneficial -- or not -- remains to be seen.
But we have to move past this myth of "you'll be able to generate the blockbuster of your personal dreams with a prompt"
Hell, the gulf between 15-seconds and a half-hour episode is immense. It's literally 1% of the runtime of our shortest primetime format.
There's so much more to film / TV than "what's the final idea for the shot?" It's a hundred iterative decisions made daily by a team of creative professionals.
The gulf between a 15 second clip with no meaningful thought behind it other than "what if two A-listers fought in a scene that looks like two dozen movies that'll come out this year alone" and a full-length feature film is much larger than the media or Silicon Valley will ever acknowledge.

12.02.2026 19:29 β π 18 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0It's crazy the amount of writers -- sometimes big names whose work I admire -- that share links to their Substack with no trace of shame. It's a company knowingly making its money off bigotry and has been for years! Find yourself new hosting that doesn't, it's not like they're the only option.

Landscape poster for the 1986 film "Never Too Young to Die", starring John Stamos, Vanity, and Gene Simmons.
Last night's screening of "Never Too Young to Die" at @vidiots.bsky.social was the most fun I've had in a theater in some time.
It featured a very memorable intro and Q&A afterwards with fan of the film Johnny Knoxville, star John Stamos, and director Gil Bettman.
I think the mostly humbling and salient truth I was ever given about working in television is βRemember, weβre here to sell bleach first.β
07.02.2026 01:40 β π 92 π 18 π¬ 4 π 1Hellraiser rocks! It helps that Robinson (SPOILERS) gets to play two roles in it. He can shift so effortlessly into extremely creepy and the last act of that movie uses him well.
Certainly better use than Farrell in Hellraiser III. She's trying, but the script just isn't there.
PIC - Vadic is played by Amanda Plummer. What real-life personal connection does she have to another Trek villain? (Her father is Christopher Plummer aka General Chang, villain of ST VI)
06.02.2026 19:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0DIS - to what does Discovery's registry number refer? (NCC-1031 is a reference to 10/31, aka Halloween. The show was originally intended to have a spooky vibe.)
06.02.2026 19:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0ENT -- two weeks after the September 11th attacks, the ENT crew were surprised to find protestors outside the Paramount gate, specifically targeting Enterprise. What were they protesting? (The use of "Where My Heart Will Take Me" aka "Faith of the Heart" as the theme song.)
06.02.2026 19:40 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0VOY -- what infamous episode won an Emmy for makeup? ("Threshold")
VOY (bonus) -- "Bride of Chaotica!" was an episode quickly conceived and put into production, with the intent to keep as much action off the bridge as possible. Why? (The bridge set had been damaged in a fire)
TNG -- which two of the seven main cast members never directed an episode of any Star Trek series? (Brent Spiner and Marina Sirtis)
DS9 -- which horror franchise features both Andrew Robinson (Garak) and Terry Farrell (Jadzia Dax)? (Hellraiser)
Some random trivia from most of the series:
TOS -- "The Man Trap" was the first episode of the series to air, but it was not the first episode filmed. Ignoring the original pilot ("The Cage"), what was the first episode filmed with Kirk and (most of) the TOS crew? ("Where No Man Has Gone Before")
A fun tie-breaker elimination game is naming actors who have played more than one character in Trek / been on more than one series. There are a ton of them, especially if you get pedantic (mirror universe, shapeshifters, possessions, etc. counting as unique roles.) Can't name an actor? They're out

A colleague once described Star Trek as being "pretty chaste" as far as they understood it. After laughing I began to educate them on just how horny of a franchise it can be. Each era is thirsty in its own way.
