Last night's screening of "Never Too Young to Die" at @vidiots.bsky.social was the most fun I've had in a theater in some time.

It featured a very memorable intro and Q&A afterwards with fan of the film Johnny Knoxville, star John Stamos, and director Gil Bettman.

I think the mostly humbling and salient truth I was ever given about working in television is “Remember, we’re here to sell bleach first.”

Hellraiser rocks! It helps that Robinson (SPOILERS) gets to play two roles in it. He can shift so effortlessly into extremely creepy and the last act of that movie uses him well.

Certainly better use than Farrell in Hellraiser III. She's trying, but the script just isn't there.

TOS -- "The Man Trap" was the first episode of the series to air, but it was not the first episode filmed. Ignoring the original pilot ("The Cage"), what was the first episode filmed with Kirk and (most of) the TOS crew? ("Where No Man Has Gone Before")

A fun tie-breaker elimination game is naming actors who have played more than one character in Trek / been on more than one series. There are a ton of them, especially if you get pedantic (mirror universe, shapeshifters, possessions, etc. counting as unique roles.) Can't name an actor? They're out

A colleague once described Star Trek as being "pretty chaste" as far as they understood it. After laughing I began to educate them on just how horny of a franchise it can be. Each era is thirsty in its own way.

I saw it on a whim at Beyond Fest and really enjoyed it. Very well done for such a contained premise. That station chime echoed in my brain for like a week.

Yes, 100%! It does a wonderful job of capturing the essence of the games. The Ghoul, Maximus, and Lucy are all representative of the multitude of ways players can interact with the world, from murder-hobo'ing their way through a situation to trying in vain to stick to the main story.
