I've been thinking about school absenteeism a lot.

If you have a kid in PK-12 and have chronic absenteeism or high absence rates for your kid(s): why? What's causing it for you?

I am not naive enough to believe this message will trickle into every viewer. However, its popularity across gender and background means that SOME will now feel a sense of permission to be better, particularly if they live in families or cultures that refuse.

You know, kind of like Star Trek.

Apparently I need to spell it out for some people: yes, I believe mass embrace of the following themes like generational trauma and cultural expectations through a non-western, non-male lens can positively influence a generation of kids.

On these historic lists, the late 80s modern rock ones tend to have more women than the 90s ones!

Related, I subscribe to themed/dated reprints of old Billboard radio play lists, and 90s alt rock are always ALL DUDES and then the occasional song by Garbage or No Doubt. Except for a short period circa 1994. It's always shocking to me seeing how slanted this is compared to today's indie.
