single £82.90 - so MIG is £310/pw
Couple (one qualifies) +£82.90 - so £429.50
Couple (both qualify) +£165.80 so £512.40

From April 2025, the Pension Credit Guarantee Element will increase by 4.1%, - the new minimum income guarantee is £227.10/week if single or £346.60/week for a couple
I’ve seen a case today where the person is 20p over the limit but will be a few pounds under from April…

Personal insolvencies 25% higher in Nov than this time last year.
My guess is they will continue to rise because everything is expensive and incomes fall short.

£30million from MaPS isn’t enough.
The recent DRO Unit update on Tobacco & Alcohol spending in a DRO, had debt advisers scratching their heads in confusion. Today it was clarified. It seems this expenditure can be included if client's total costs are within the SFS spending guidelines

It doesn’t surprise me. But by that measure, I wonder how many people are in ‘roof poverty’ or ‘kitchen poverty’ or ‘appliance poverty’?
