That's fair - I am a pretty big fan of Platinum Games, and I think the gameplay and sheer ridiculousness of Revengeance is super fun and very entertaining. I have not played a single Metal Gear aside from it, so I have no context of the wider series haha

This is not really a game you "beat", but I did reach the credits, so I figured I would include it here!
This is a pretty good time - a fun trip through game history, and making games and seeing their reception is quite addictive. Might play this one a bit more sometime!

Damn, not often you hear people not liking Revengeance haha - gotta respect that (even though I do vehemently disagree) 🫡

Fantastic game! I'll have to replay it sometime and gather my thoughts on its narrative more.

In terms of narrative presentation and overall vibe, this game is RIGHT up my alley - the non-linear storytelling was very well executed and the trippy sequences alongside the sharp writing made this a very impactful experience despite its short runtime. This is BEGGING to be analysed

I did feel like the game dragged on a little bit - but that is all made up for by a STELLAR finale that did make me tear up a little bit haha

I probably won't beat this 100% (god knows it took me long enough to beat it), but I will be doing some post-game stuff.

Donkey Kong Bananza!
After playing this on-and-off since the game's release, I FINALLY beat it!
I really liked it - the gameplay is really fun, it's visually quite great looking, some of the world concepts are very interesting, the music is fun and the dynamic between our protagonists is so cute

(I also enjoyed the story quite a bit. Playing this as an almost-newbie to the series with someone who is a BIG fan was pretty enlightening and made playing this game a pretty unique experience for me.
I might have to play more Pokèmon after this haha)

Rolled credits on this with my partner yesterday - while we still have some stuff to do in it, I can say pretty firmly that I really enjoyed myself!
The characters are charming, the gameplay is fun, the designs are great and the soundtrack SLAPS.
I think it's a great time!

Read this earlier today - I have a lot to say about it, but I'll save it for a later post.
For now, I'll just say that it was a very compelling and emotional read, and I HIGHLY recommend it

Hades II!
Now, I am far from done with this game, as my partner and I just reached the ending, but we are having a grand time! The gameplay is really fun, the presentation is great and the music is absolutely stellar. I have a few qualms with it, but nothing major - looking forward to playing more!
