My Mother had polio in 1923-24. No immunization was available then. She lived, but had to relearn to walk. Many children died or were left with life altering disabilities. We have polio conquered. Why would Kennedy want to cripple or kill our children by taking away polio immunizations?
WHY??

I keep hearing about our President's big beautiful bill and his calling up troops and changing the makeup of Washington DC, as though it's his plan.

WAKE UP!

No one should be without routine or emergency medical care. How can this happen in the most prosperous and caring country in the world. We have always tried to provide support to any country where people are less fortunate than us. Where is our heart? Certainly not in that "big wonderful bill"

The big wonderful bill may be passed soon.

Missouri has many elderly and areas of poverty. No good jobs exist and medical service is far away.

They say we will all die. That is true.
But everyone left will remember, when it's time to vote!

Home schools are not monitored.

It is suggesred that home school parents should be given the same per student payment as a public school. With no monitoring, payment to a parent could be used for anything, and the students may not be educated.

Do you want your tax dollars used in this way?

Before the Individuals With Disabilities Act, children were hidden away at home or in residential facilities. I am sure Mr. Kennedy remembers when his Aunt Rosemary was hidden away in such a facility. It was a hard time in our history for individuals with disabilities. Could history repeat? ?

The suggestion of a registery is very concerning. Why is a registery needed? We are seeing airplanes filled with people who are flown to prisons in another country with no chance of due process.
We have been told that children were sent, while needing medical care. Why would we not be concerned?

In the US, every child must be provided a free and appropriate public education. This law says nothing about whether it pleases Mr. Kennedy or Mr. Trump! It does not say anything about the need for a registery of children who have a specific diagnosis.

Federal law- The Individuals With Disabilities Education Act states that all children with disabilities have a right to a free and appropriate public educa- tion, in the least restrictive environment, in which said child can make progress toward goals listed in their Individual Educational Program.

Mr. Kennedy discussing autism, states that none will ever pay taxes. He i@ incorrect. Many adults having autism lead normal and productive lives, and they pay taxes. There are many levels. on the autism spectrum, ranging from gifted to profoundly disabled, with no two alike.

Come on guys! I understand your frustration. Amy is trying to fight on our behalf. Call your congressmen. If we don't work together, there is little hope of improvement. We must not repeat the mistakes of the 1930s. Amy can initiate change. It is our only hope.

I am happy to hear about your bipartisan bill. I believe it is exactly what we need in the US. Thank you for your time and effort on our behalf.

I have been thinking about Social Security. We are retired. How would we survive if they declared us deceased.

Maybe all citizens need to contact the Federal Social Security office to tell them we are alive and well and are entitled to what we paid for.

Sorry everyone, I was so angry that I typed Grandmother rather than mother-in-law. However, the idea is the same. How do we stop this theft of all the funds we have paid into our whole lives.

I suspect neither of you or your Grandmother have missed a meal for lack of money to buy food. I have had students who only get to eat at school. But, then, you probably agree with stopping that funding too, don't you..
