The planet Mars captured from my backyard in 2020. The planet is centred in the image and is a yellow/orange colour with dark green/brown features coveri g the RHS of the disc. The small, south polar cap can be seen in the 2 o'clock position with Syrtis Major pointing towards the 8 o'clock position. Equipment: Skywatcher 190mm Mak-Newt, 4 x Televue Powermate, ZWO 120mc camera, best 4600 out of 20000 frames stacked.

I probably won't manage a shot of Mars this opposition. It's not a great opposition anyway, but also low in the sky for the Southern hemisphere (& therefore below my house's roof line from my setup spot in my backyard). Instead, here's my best shot from the 2020 opposition:
